The early 90s rave scene was a very special time, there was a lot of love in that scene. Back then you had to call a pager number on the day of the even to get directions to the venue. I still have a bunch of those old rave flyers, I wish I had saved more.

Ah, fellow Canadians! This resonates so much with my youth. It was aggravating my best friends had those curfews. I didn't have those limitations... First (and only) time I did acid was at the World Electronic Music Festival, a 3 day outdoor rave in 1999, Sauble Beach, Ontario. I think I got maybe an hour of sleep over a 72 hour period.

Any event hosting Tiesto post Forbidden Paradise mixes in the 90s is not an authentic or real rave...definitely not in 2010...Tiesto was pretty much the world's most famous and mainstream DJ by the time adagio for strings came out in 2005...
