At 26:03 maybe I am missing something but wouldn’t hydra + thespian make 9/9/9 on one side? To trade expeditions
@KojoMain2 ай бұрын
Yeah that's right, I said 8/8/8 in the video but with the Teija boost it's 9/9/9. So you could play Thespian there to win one progression and then you only need one more afterwards which looks good, probably better than what I chose with keeping the Thespian back on purpose. Thanks for pointing it out!

@@TimothyYoungfellow Thank you kindly! A lot of extra effort goes into those card previews and making the games easier to follow, so I‘m delighted to hear it‘s appreciated!

I started out with the Teija deck and it has been so much fun! I was able to pull a Hydracaena in one of the packs I pulled and I cannot wait to play him out once I get two others! I’m really looking forward to play this game more!
@KojoMainАй бұрын
It's a blast! One advantage of this decklist is that you don't need three rare hydras, the common is just as good, which makes the deck very affordable to build especially if you didn't open like, three hundred boosters like some people did. For the other slots you have various options as well, so if your collection isn't big yet it should still be possible to put together a hydra deck that works well.

I can't wait to build this deck. Someone at my locals is also building it and it looks fun!
@KojoMain20 күн бұрын
Teija is very strong! You can go the route with Hydracaena or the one without, both are very decent. Best of luck with the deck!

Great video! These are much more bite sized than full set review videos, i wish I had thought of something like this instead of making full review videos.

Thank you for the kind words! The truth is putting everything into one video would just have been so much work that I'd never have done it xD But thank you for putting your content to my attention! It's irritating to see your videos got so little attention, KZbin has never recommended me anything from your channel. It's a shame given how much effort you obviously put in, making over an hour of video per faction is very impressive. I wish you all the best with future videos!

Really love the video and your editing/commentary! Got to see some new cards I haven’t tested either. Main things I noticed are that Thespain and Verdantback are often too awkward to be worth their upside
@KojoMain2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! Thespian looked really awkward in these games yeah, I was a bit shocked too. For Verdantback, I like the card but it's very vulnerable to removal, not necessarily being removed itself but one of the two other plants being removed and its defender turning back on. I still ended up running it in this deck because it's a nice Common slot but maybe Coneman is a good alternative, or Son of Yggdrasil.
@TheBravosHatterАй бұрын
With so many Ramp cards, you could also run Mana Eruption. Sure it cost a mana orb, but it removes everything and is a mana cheaper than cocoon. Also you might want to try Ganesha as other big dude to ramp into. All of your small plants have -> anchored, so effectively getting them to stick around another turn. If you hit only two targets, it is like a double cast meditation training on a 2 mana 5/5/5 ;) Casting this again next turn for more anchored fun.
@KojoMainАй бұрын
Very good points! I had Eruption in another version of this deck and ended up cutting it but after playing with Cocoon for a while I do feel like there are some important targets it doesn't hit. Eruption always seems so unplayable since you want to get Hydra but honestly, with Meadow Hydra doesn't cost that much after all... I think swapping some of the Cocoon for Eruption or going full Eruption playset instead might be a good idea. As for Ganesha, that's another really good idea because Son of Yggdrasil really doesn't convince me. I neglected Ganesha at first but you're right that repeating the "I gain Anchored" effects is not bad at all, it sounds very good honestly. Thanks for all the input!!

Again nice video! Love the explanation about your decisions. Make me wonder why I play so fast ;) Any change you could do, dare I ask a Waru one? Keep doing the strong work!
@KojoMainАй бұрын
Waru has been the most sought after deck yes, I haven't looked into it yet but I won't get around that for much longer. If anything, you'll definitely see him soon as one of the decks I play against, and who knows, maybe I'll be able to make a video about him at some point too but my queue is long and each video is so much work... In any case, thank you very much for the kind words!

About the French pronunciation, Afanas isn’t a French name by any mean, but there is nothing like tonic accentuation in French. So we do not accentuate “fa” neither “nas”.
@KojoMainАй бұрын
Very interesting to know! But then, would you pronounce the s or not? Like, is it "Afanas" or "Afaná"? Thank you for explaining :D

@@KojoMain We would pronounce it, like in Ananas 🍍

Great video, I have been enjoying your channel a lot, keep going :) As a nitpick tho, i would like to know the number of cards in hand your opponent has, maybe I am unable to get it and it is already there, but in this kinda games like Afanas it would have been nice to see that kind of advantage.
@KojoMainАй бұрын
@@SaizGorka Thanks! Yep definitely true, I try to mention it whenever it‘s truly essential but I‘ve been trying to get the hand counts on screen somehow, it would be nice to have them.

Great video! What are your thoughts about adding Loki to the deck for replenishing empty hands?
@KojoMainАй бұрын
Thank you! Very interesting idea, I'm loving the thought of it! After recording these games I had a couple of cards I wanted to replace, like Spindle and maybe the Mana Channelings. Those would free up rare slots for Loki which might be just what the deck needs to not run out of steam so fast! Very intriguing idea, thank you!
