We were discussing the "Artist" thing, Myself and some record people in the business of Tejano and other Genre's, and a the main thing that was said was an Artist Writes Lyrics or Music, Composes, or Re-Composes, Re-arranges Music, a person who does covers, in Country Music or Rock or Tejano, is a Performer, and yes can be argued to be a Performing Artist.
