I guess the timeline would be to Roll out first Tejas Mk2 by end of 2024 followed by first flight in mid-end of 2025 followed by 4 years of Testing (which is the case with others countries as well). By 2027-28, you'll see Mk2 being ordered by IAF so that it can enter production 2029 onwards once Mk1A's production is nearing its end (same line can be used for Mk2 production then) & deliveries can start 2030 onwards. HAL has now a capacity to produce 24 Jets per year but for HAL to utilise it's full production capacity it needs enough orders which is why IAF might look to place additional orders for Tejas Mk1A which would be financially prudent as well & it would support indigenous fighter program.

We make one engine which reached 47 KN dry thrust !! Which maximum give us nearly 70 kN overall thrust which was less than our target of 85+ kn so we wanted this 98 kn GE f414 ! Which is ideal and actually we got desired results with our Tejas mk1 and MK1A ! We had good experience with GEf404 engine before! So after we failed to achieve before the deadline we now on plan B with GEF414 98 kn thrust engine deal ! Since now that Kaveri engine (which is made in india ) will now ALSO get use in our Ghatak UAV and cat's warrior (so it's not gonna waste ) Research and development on indigenous engine's will be stay on !

For a jet engine, most important is the high temperature tolerance for turbine blades, the output power is directly related to it, or it will be distorted or burned. The high quality steel alloy can make Kaveri 10, which using it, the max power was 71 kn. cannot be used in Tejas, so India used GE404, with power of 81 kn, still too little, so the junk cannot be sold to any other country. simply total useless GE 404 should used Ni alloy, can stand higher temperature, in GE414, now it should have used Ni-base single crystal turbine blades, which can stand higher temperature, single crystal made the turbine blades stand higher temperature since it can resistant to the pull strength evenly to all direction, GE 414 with power output to 91 kn, may be little bit better version now, not not much. The next generation is ceramic material made of turbine blades, all jet engine with above 150 kn need this kind of engine, also in ceramic engines, there are many generations already, in ceramic engine another import factor is coating for it. In today's world, the US is still number 1, but number 2 is not Russia but China. China has mastered ceramic material made of turbine blades with special coating, so China can make WS 15 with 180 kn. The US only sells GE 414 to India, which is generations behind the best US and China military engine, well if you think the purpose of India to get it is to fight China, which will be totally useless on that. France got the original design wrong, France is also in the lead in ceramic engine material, however, France is only good at making medium sized engine, like the one used in Rafale, with M88 max power only about 70 kn. same for RR so France and RR cannot make 5th gen fighters. India with GE414 is the same, we can predict India will never or in at least 40 years or 50 yrs with no 5th gen fighter, by that time, the world will be in 7th gen fighter era. so we know India will never catch up

total nonsense. The GE 404 is not like the junk Wopen engines from China. It has 84kN of thrust giving the MK1A a high thrust to weight ratio. Also it has never failed in thousands of hours of testing across all kinds of climates and temperatures and conditions. This is in contrast to Wopen engines where more engines are returned to the factory for repairs than are produced!

GE 414 is useless cannot be used for 5th gen fighter, 2. even if it can be used for Tejas MKII, assume it is as good as FA18, still not be useful, Tejas MKII , just like Tejas mk1. will not be able to sell a single one to the other country. so GE414 cannot produce in a large number, 3. with limited number of GE414 production, will make the each one cost very high, therefore it will not be able to sell it to other countries. this is a bad cycle, 4. Make in India does not mean you can make the Ni-base single crystal turbine blades for it, you still needs to import the part from the US, 5. Ni-base single crystal turbine blades is already out of date for making more powerful turbine blades for which needs ceramic materials, which are the engines used in 5 th gen fighters with max power output above 140 kn, GE 414 is only 93 kn, (GE404 is 81 kn, Kaveri is 71 kn), compare to F22's engine, 153 kn, F 35 's 190 kn, China WS 15 for J20 180 kn. The US will not provide such kind engine to India.

J 10C has better stealth features than J 10B. Chinese media is calling it as a semi stealth fighter, but whatever it is, J10 not going to be stealthier than Tejas, even though Chinese media claims it has a new technique to achieve stealth, and some of those claimed J10C is a threat to even F22. Whatever it is their comparison of J 10C with F 22 is laughable. Tejas is the only aircraft which uses BMI (Bismaleimide ) other than F 35 & Typhoon which provides better stealth and strength. RCS of J10 = 1m2, RCS of Tejas =0.5m2. (Armed)
