summary: hachijos exhibit the devil gene. mishimas activate devil gene. kazamas suppress it. heihachi awakened the devil gene in kazumi, kazuya, and jin. kazuya has hachijo and mishima blood so he can turn devil. jin has all three so he wars with the devil within. heihachi and lars only have mishima so they cannot turn devil. jinpachi is confusing cause they initially said he had the devil gene but later retconned it in t7 and said that he doesnt have the devil gene. jun suppresses it in kazuya and jin. asuka accidentally did it but didnt follow it up in the story. lee chaolan is adopted by heihachi. heihachi’s ttt3 ending will have all of them having a family dinner, as an update to lars’ ttt2 ending.

You cannot negotiate with a child who lost his mom and you're hearing his dad that she tries to kill him wouldn't be convincing. Plus his devil gene would turn against him anyway since its literally the devil. Somehow Jin resisted the urge to kill Heihachi thanks to Jun, even though he was okay bombing tons of towns making so many people hate him to kill a stupid chicken god. He's somewhat of a good guy and somehow has angel wings instead of devil wings, even though its so god damn stupid that he had to do that in Tekken 6.

My problem with this story is this wasn’t meant to be the story. Heihachi didn’t throw off kazuya because he had the devil gene in him. He threw him off the cliff to test his might, if he survived the fall, he would be fit to run the Mishima zaibatsu. He barely survived and sold his soul to the devil to take revenge on Heihachi. Then in tekken 3, a part of Kazuya’s ‘devil soul’ enters Jin and that’s how he becomes the devil. In tekken 4, you can see Kazuya wanting to take it back so he can have full control of the devil that had been controlling him. This was retconned just so they could milk the story and include kazumi and akuma into the story. Makes kazuya one dimensional and makes Heihachi a hero when he wasn’t.

That's not what happened. Its still shown that Heihachi was testing Kazuya cause he was calling him weak and pathetic. Kazuya is not one dimensional,he is clearly suffering from PTSD in Tekken 7(when he has the cliff flashback)and he shows emotions when he kills Heihachi At no point is Heihachi painted as a hero,he is still violent towards EVERYONE.Bringing peace to the world was his goal in Tekken 2 as well

TBH.... Kazumi was right. When the Zaibatsu wasn't under Heihachi's control, life was still good. Then Kazumi realized that Heihachi would steal his dad's company. When she tried to prevent him from beginning KOF 1, that's when everything went nuts. Heihachi killed Kazumi, making Kazuya angry, which resulted in his near death. Then Kazuya wanted revenge. When he grew up, Heihachi was in charge of the Zaibatsu. He was still angry at him and wanted him to die. See? Kazumi was right. Heihachi would cause chaos. Buuut then she turned out to have the Devil Gene. Umm tell me if you agree or not im ok with your opinion. Idk, Tekken is just chaotic and has a confusing story.

@Josep Rafol Heihachi caused chaos from the start: taking over his father's company (leaving Jinpachi to starve to death), killed Kazumi in self-defense over prophecy, threw Kazuya in a cliff to see proof of Devil gene existence(with Kazuya being revived by Devil gene) mistreated Lee and Kazuya in their childhood, threw Kazuya in a volcano (just for Kazuya to be revived by G Corp) unleashed Ogre to obtain its power (resulting in deaths/ disappeances of T2 martial artists, betrayed Jin by shooting him (with Jin being revived by Devil Gene), conducted Devil/Human hybrid program. has Lars as an illegitimate child to test Devil gene in family.. one man who is greedy to conquer the world and hated by all members in his family which in turn hate each other.

By the time Kazumi grew older, Heihachi already betrayed his father Jinpachi the only good Mishima. Jinpachi devoted his martial arts school for youth & regular people.. I believe that Heihachi imprisoned Jinpachi under Honmaru after he killed Kazumi. We all know the took the company from Jinpachi first and then Kazumi tried to kill him but I think he killed Jinpachi after killing Kazumi. If you all don't know, Just like Kazumi, Jinpachi also wanted to kill Kazuya and Heihachi because they would bring evil to the world (T1 and T2 manuals) that means he agreed to Kazumi's vision, that means he would not until Heihachi dies, that may justifies Heihachi's actions against imprisoning Jinpachi.

His taking of the zaibatsu and likely declarion of planning to focus on the military started was a Red Flag for kazumi making her sure the prophesy was real causing her personality to split between love for her husband and child but devotion to the duty of her family with her bad side ultimately taking over

TEKKEN STORY IN AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE: Jinpachi establishes the zaibatsu gains more wealth and political strength. Heihachi marries Kazumi, and have their child, Kazuya. Kazumi abandons her mission and choses not to betray heihachi, but live happily. Kazuya grows up loved by his parents and grandfather. Kazuya goes to highschool, and meets Jun, the two become attracted. Meanwhile, a skinny teen Lee Chaolan gets jealous because Kazuya was more popular than him in school. Lars doesn't exist Few years later, Kaz and Jun get married and Jun is brought into the Mishima palace as heihachi's daughter in law. Jin is born in a happy and prosperous family, loved by his parents, grandparents and great grandfather, few years later, Jinpachi dies from old age, and the family conduct his funeral and organize a burial in Hon-Maru. Heihachi takes control of the Zaibatsu, and continues his father's work and upholds his legacy. Jin grows up in a happy family, going to school, attending training sessions. Ogre shows up at the mishima palace doorstep, planning to kill everyone inside. Heihachi, Jin, and Kaz fight Ogre and kill him together. Few more years later (by the time of tekken 7), Akuma shows up, along with Kazumi's older brother (Kazuya's uncle) and her niece (Kazuya's cousin sister). They arrive to complete what Kazumi refused to do years ago. Kazumi calls to Akuma and reminds him of the favour of saving his life. But Akuma ignores and proceeds to fight. Hachijo members kidnap Kazumi and fly away. Jin and Kazuya chase them while Heihachi fights Akuma. Akuma seemingly kills heihachi, and walks away. Meanwhile, Jin and Kazuya chase the hachijo family members who are taking kazumi and fly into the sky, until they "disappear". Kazuya and Jin follow them into the area of "disappearance" along with them. They are transported through a portal to another dimension. The dimension Jin and Kazuya end up in, had small islands with sharp iron spikes, connected together by narrow rock trails, surrounded by a lava ocean. There was no horizon as the dimension was covered with obsidian. Jin and Kazuya make their way and follow the trail of the hachijo family members, until they find dozens of other human hybrids, and alien hybrids, all assembled, waiting for something to appear. As Jin and Kazuya spied from a distance, a Giant Mysterious figure appears. The entity was not humanoid, nor physically tangible. It was ugly in appearance, with 6 arms, each with sharp claws. He had 5 eyes, 4 horns and razor sharp dark wings. The entity announces his plan to arrive on earth and terraform the planet into a demonic pit, just like all all other worlds he has conquered. The hachijo members (from among the hybrid audience), stand up and declare that they have a traitor who didn't do her job, Kazumi! The entity groans loudly and becomes enraged. Then the entity lifts Kazumi into the air and force chokes her to death slowly. Kazuya gets angry but Jin restrains his father from putting himself in danger The hybrid audience were also shocked to see Kazumi as the traitor. The entity declares that his plans to take over earth are at a huge risk, as the lineage of his ancient enemy he once fought and defeated, still continues. The entity then force chokes all of the hachijo members to death for hiding this information from him. Akuma arrives, and tells the entity that he has successfully killed heihachi, and that earth is his to conquer now. Jin and Kazuya secretly and discretely head back to the same portal and back to earth, and find an unconscious heihachi. Heihachi wakes up and tells Jin and Kazuya what Jinpachi had told him, which was passed down over the generations. Heihachi is from the lineage of a gifted warrior who once ruled the ancient civilization of humanity, and later thwarted an invasion of extra dimensional beings, then sent his family into hiding while he faced the leader of the invaders alone. The two battled for hours until the entity pulled him into his dimension, and then the invaders disappeared. Jin and Kazuya now seek to uncover their bloodline's ancient mystery training hard, preparing to eventually face the entity once and for all.

This could all been prevented if Heihachi swallowed his prided and tell the truth to Kazuya. Kazuya being the most powerful figure in the world also could've figured something about why Heihachi needed to kill Kazumi. Figures all this family know is to fight and nothing else.

Jin is just as important as Kazuya with the story..both living without their mothers and cursed with Devil's blood (even though Jin is more of a dark angel); Let alone they both share a commonly mutual betrayal by Heihachi

I always found it weird that Heihachi shot Jin. I figured he would do that to Kazyua but did he think Jin was more of a threat? And the whole gun thing is weird to me too. Seems random lol
