that’s because it was a DVD which has a capacity of about 4gb , so that’s not really that hard. Maybe you thought tekken tag was released on ps1?

You could tell which games they were because they had a blue sheen on the data side of the disc rather than the regular transparent of the DVD games. Other games that were released on CD were Ico, TimeSplitters 1, Midnight Club 1, Dynasty Warriors 2, SSX, The Sims.

There was another way to unlock Dr. B. You had to play 100 or 200 matches in versus (you had to have a memory card and autosave on). We didnt know that when we were kids, we just played VS mode for years until he casually unlocked and we lost our shit

"Who was the other slot that we never unlocked... We unlocked everyone but who's that?" I looked at it on KZbin and it was dr. B and I was like "WAIT HES IN THE GAME HERE HE WAS IN YOSHIS AND ANNAS ENDING!" I then found that you gotta like beat Tekken force mode the whole thing like three times or something I dunno. I already forgot lol even after watching this, but I did that IT WAS TOUGH but I finally unlocked him. I think imma whip out the manual for the game and see if it says anything in it I bet it was in there all this time. I probably never knew because I didn't have it growing up but now I do.

@@Disconnect350 we always did _something_ then he just popped up. We noticed one day when we went left or right too much on the character screen then we saw him just there. And when he didn't pop up we'd do something else then that was it lol. Tho when I wanted to unlock him then it became difficult then which was hysterical lol. I got it then because I finally had the memory card, I transferred that to my PS3 now so I can actually play It there too now.

One thing i've seen always worked to me to unlock Dr. B. was playing a 2 players Tekken Ball Gon vs Tiger. Don't remember who had to win, and who had to be Player 1. But i remember it always worked. First time i thought was just a casuality, but when my cousin asked me how to do and he did exactly that, he told me it worked. So i suppose it was a method!

If you go to the options and have the key configuration selected and then press L2+R2+select all the red Hitsparks will turn green, but if you do the same but press start instead of select they will turn red again. You can also unlock all characters by playing a certain amount of matches, but I think that number goes up to 400 for some characters.

I remember holding out hope that the rumors about Kazuya being hidden in Tekken 3 was more than an online hoax. Just because my favorite part of playing through the game over and over was finding all these beautifully hidden secrets and unlockables. Endless hours in the dead of night. Never got over that Kazuya hoax though.

I pretty much got everything except school background. I was around 8-11 and used to do it in one day before getting memory card for PS1. Honestly, I will remember Tekken 3 till the day I die, it made my childhood amazing.

If you play on the versus mode for long enough, everything will be unlocked eventually. I think about 400 - 450 matches will unlock everything in the game.

One more tip: Kuma and Panda have a mixed ending that to be complete you have to finish both. Even Tiger has is own ending. Seems simple but even nowadays a lot of people think that are only costumes with no ending :D

It doesn't have to be a specific character... As soon as Tekken Ball is unlocked, the first match you win against the computer will unlock Gon... I have played the first match with different characters and it always works.

There's one left, but it's automatically if you complete the full game: there's a intro (not in CGI) where it shows the characters making some moves. If you beat arcade with every one, it changes the costumes and the characters doing the moves

I'm glad I discovered all of them as a 8 yo kid (apart from mokujin sound thing), what an incredible game. That's so cool for games to implement such things, there was no internet to check this online. Me and my friends played a lot and we just thought those empty character spaces are for next releases of the game (Tekken 4 etc. xD) yes, we were kids. But Imagine playing a game for few months with friends (mostly "vs. mode") and then discover that you can unlock new character :O - we were stuck to the PS1 for weeks to unlock every character in the game and try them out for the first time, check all moves etc. what an experience! I hate how people play games nowadays... - Install the game - Check the best build - Check what are the money/exp glitches - Check how to get OP in minutes - Finish the game. what's the point? Tekken 3 taught me to enjoy the game until I finish it all by myself, then I search some "secrets" or "tricks" online to enjoy the game for a little while more :) Blessings to everybody who plays games in the same way.

For Gon: was he really an unlockable? I'm certain I didn't use King before anyone else first time in thst Ball Mode (I did this just once or two for trying out but find it boring. And since I played Hwoarang...). And I also never typed GON anywhere as a name, since I still have no idea where that guy originates from (I just know he's from another game and is in Tekken as a guest). I think he simply was there, outside the view, on the character menu

So the school uniforms are unlocked by playing with them a lot? lol Our playground rumours were saying stuff like "you have to beat the campaign with Jin and Xiaoyu 20 times" or something, or even more. Technically they weren't false, but they made it sound so absurdly difficult we ended up giving up befre even trying. Come to think of it, I have beat the campaign with Xiao numerous times back then, I may have had the uniform unlocked without realising lmao
