@@l8nightvibes probably in Tekken 4 Jin have unblockable moves who make him OP, and speaking about Jin (in Tekken 4) who change his moveset to traditional karate probably because of Kazuya was already have it in since first series, so I think if Jin use same moveset as Kazuya it would be boring, that's why the dev use "Heihachi's betrayal" issue to make Jin use his new moveset (IMO)

@Malcolm Williams tekken 5 has similar gameplay style to tekken 3 so it’s not really a wrong direction it’s because more people prefer that style over tekken 4 which was innovative but it had so many flaws in the gameplay department that it’s considered inferior to tekken 3 I feel tekken 5 felt like the prime tekken game.

@Malcolm Williams tekken 5 is far from easy jinpachi is one of the hardest tekken boss and you need skills to beat your opponent rather then spamming the same move it’s way more balanced than tekken 4 jin is easily the most broken character in the game it’s very polarizing and it’s considered disappointment according to the fan base.

He's one of the few characters in this game's roster to not fight Heihachi as his final boss in his Story Mode.

Another few pieces of Tekken 4 trivia regarding Kazuya Mishima: Him and Jin are the only characters that can be played as in the Hon Maru stage during Story Mode playthroughs. Their sub boss fights consist of the only times this stage appears in Story Mode. His ending takes place in the Hon Maru stage.

They really need to get back to this style of writing for story in Tekken. Some of the endings are ultimately a little corny but the prologue and epilogue writing was top tier, every character has solid motivation to enter the tournament.

Tekken 4 is the best game in the entire franchise. It had the best story. Especially Kazuya's story was profound, him getting rid of Devil but absorbing all of his powers by discovering a mental technique and taking advantage of Devil being distracted. Also, the scientific view of the Devil gene vs. the mystic view of being possessed by a Devil, both views are explored at the same time. Did Kazuya and Devil have internal dialogues in other Tekken games besides in Tekken 4? I think not. It had the best essential characters (no filler characters), the most realistically proportioned looking characters (not unrealistically overdone) and backgrounds, a great force mode, great music. It was the absolute pinnacle of the series, an overall height never reached again by its successors.

Poor Kazuya, his asshole father threw him off a cliff when he was just five years old. Then he survived, became an undefeated champion in several martial arts tournaments for the next 25 years, he wanted revenge against Heihachi, won the first king of iron fist tournament, then afterwards picked up his father and threw him into a volcano. He became the owner of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Two years later, Heihachi somehow survived, defeated Kazuya, threw him again into the mouth of a volcano! And took back the Mishima Zaibatsu. I feel bad for what Kazuya has been through..

Well although tekken 4 got average reviews as a big tekken fan I think it was the best one. I know there were some minor inbalances, but the soundtrack, the beautiful stages and character design, last and not least the story was serious and it really took the whole thing to another level. That is why I was disappointed with tekken 5- great combat but the story and design were bad.. Anyway enjoy the mellow sounds of authentic sky while fighting on a building or the honmaru where the Mishima family settles scores ^^

im mixed on this game I like the less is more quality of this game compared to later releases especially with all the gimmicks and guest characters from other franchises but I didn't like the story retcons or some of the old tekken classic characters missing.....feel like Kazuya was better in TK tag 1 to be honest.

The ending card said the Mishima compound, A.K.A Hon Maru the temple vanished. Probably due to an explosion of Ki energy when Kazuya transformed.

Both of you, don't bother with that. That's not the canon ending to T4. Canon one is where Jin defeats both Kazuya & Heihachi and flies away.

@@aligamerable Tekken 4 canon ending includes parts of both Kazuya's and Jin 's ending. After Jin has been captured by Tekken Force, Kazuya arrived to the final battle with Heihachi. Kazuya didn't want to become the leader of Mishima Zaibatsu, he only wanted to defeat his father and to get information from him about Jin whereabouts. Kazuya defeated Heihachi at the final round of tournament. Than Heihachi and Kazuya went to Hon-Maru, where Devil had awaked and wanted to stole the Devil Energy from Jin. Kazuya mentally prowoked and taunted his son to wake up and fight. But Kazuya has understeminated the strength of his son and was defeated by him. Than Heihachi, despite having some damage after his loss to Kazuya, had tried to beat enraged Jin, and he also failed. The ending of Tekken 4 is mixed and something harder to understand for a new fans. but it is important to understand the key information. Kazuya partially achieved his goal and sucessfully defeated Heihachi during the tournament but failed to defeat his son. While Jin has defeated both his father and grandfather.

@@aligamerable there are 2 versions about this battle, but for Heihachi it wasnt a reason to defeat Kazuya and let him live and lead him to Hoon-Maru, he would have killed him right at the end of fight, based on their hatred relationship. While Kazuya has a reason to keep Heihachi alive for certain moment to get information about Jin. So,a second version has more sense into story, than second.
