Not gonna lie, Geese and Akuma were cool as shit and Tekken 7 was awesome. Not even an "old head" take, I actually really like T8 and enjoy it despite the justified hatred. It's just a cringe take to hate on T7.

@@TKVirusman I enjoy both games, but I do prefer Tekken 7 for the most part. Tekken 8 does have a lot of great stuff going for it, but theres just an insurmountable amount of cheese that it makes it not as fun as 7. 2D characters however needed to be nerfed HEAVILY, and even when they were nerfed, Akuma and Geese still had 10 frame counter hit launchers with meter. No character should have 10 frame launchers in a game, where the fastest attacks are 10 frames.

After seeing how tekken 8 is being treated. I lowkey want to give 2D fighters another shot, but they DO NOT get their full 2d character gimmicks, no special meter from their games, their moves are more frame oriented as a tekken character and their combos are tekkenfied, not kof or sf inputs. They almost had their formula right but half baked it in tekken 7

Long waits for newbie players, waiting a long time just to be win quitted on, can’t really get long sets unless you are playing newer players which isn’t fun for the more skilled player. To really enjoy T7 now, you need a friend that is on par or better than you in the game and yall can hop on and get a good set in.

Heihachi has a night and day difference between T7 and T8 though. Even Hk Jr. didn’t pick up on T8 with Heihachi. A lot of Heihachi mains from T7 don’t enjoy him as much anymore.
