This is so true. My promotion win rate was 30% before I stopped caring and just played to have fun

You know some of those metrics only count the amount of games back to the size of the replay list. At 55000 (yes thousand) wins in tekken 7 i was sitting at 10% perfect rate at some point and that made my brain go "HMMMMM?"
@micshaz2 ай бұрын
Although probably a much easier example to reproduce is left/right side pick rate
@adventuretimewithjoe2 ай бұрын
@micshaz yeah its based on a rolling number, less than 50 matches forsure

I just got a ps5 and i ranked up to kishin in one day, i have over a 90% winrate and a 99 defenserating. Since i went to playdata my heartrate goes up so much in ranked i f up constantly and mess up key moments nonstop😅. Back to playermatch...

Never play tired or hungry. What an underrated tip

The most important thing is to stop paying attention to ranks. Focus on becoming a better player, instead of trying to get some rank by any means. After the match you should be thinking about what you did wrong and not about how many points you just lost or gained. Once you become a good player the rank will come naturally. So just stop thinking about your rank! Of course there's a stress from playing against annoying characters, but you have to learn the matchups, this is the part of the game. Make sure to use replay control feature, labbing can be fun too. Also, something I've noticed many years ago: muting the game and listening to spotify while playing greatly reduces the stress and even improves my reaction times. For me personally it works, I don't know why, apparently all those screams and explosions create an extra layer of distraction. Yeah, I know there are some audio clues in the gameplay, but I definitely play better with my fav music in the background and almost muted game.

Bro, I HAVE to give big props to you. I was stuck at fujin and raijin, but after watching this video, I'm now at Tekken King! Thanks for giving these tips to help give me a great experience!!👍👍👍

Excellent video and much required in the community. My add on “You’d be stressed if you are not worthy of the rank you are competing for.” Be worthy, rank will follow until then have a mindset of a trainee, take losses as lesson, lab and become the legacy player 🔥

Great reminders for a lot of us! One thing I've been doing is after each set going to replay and finding at least one mistake I was making and 1 punish I was missing, Seems to keep me from tilting and overloading on new things to try and learn at once.

Tekken is a hella deep game. If you emotionally unstable there is a lot of even small things that can get you tilted. And all the small the things start to snowball on each other to leave a bad result in the end, to the point you could simply start avoiding the ranked or get anxiety on loading screen already.

It’s such a real thing especially the taunting bit, I’ve had so many combo into Ki charge into back 1 2 king combos because people just mash

Great video 👍 my most important points are: Don't play if you don't feel well, don't play if you don't feel like it but want to just pass the time and stop playing when you lose a few times in a row and get angry.

All good points. Mayb something to keep too is first take the rank mentality out of the equation. Second, as I mentioned B4 rank n prowess r not a measure of skill. I'm guilty of everything u said. In the gaming world I'm old as dirt. If we go into every match with the mindset of play to learn not just to win, stress mite not b too bad

Good suggestions, but I personally play videogames FOR emotions and getting emotionally detached will take significant portion of FUN out of it and make it into a job. And I dont want a second job from which I've also detached emotionally :(
@beigemaster2 ай бұрын
Always take pride in your achievements and laugh when something odd happens in Tekken, just don’t let the negativity cloud your judgement. Personally though for engaging emotionally with video games, I still haven’t found anything to top The Witcher 3 🥲

Sometimes I think it's better to just get demoted and then win the next promotion match to get back in the middle of the next rank. Way better than just staying at the lower end of the rank and trying to win demotion matches over and over
@neovssmith192 ай бұрын
That's a good trick but one time I tried lose one to win the next but then went on a losing streak that pushed me over the edge lol

You know what you're talking about! Appreciate all your free content and dedication you put into your video's! Maining a King as well, which sometimes feels like the frames are not with you, especially against Hwoaring and all those other characters, who can spam.. Ofcourse, its up to yourself to do something about it so that they can't... but yeah stress lvl 100 when you play against those people...

As u know, im 53 stress is my life especially with my wife n our 8 month old daughter. So after work i go home to my daughter n i want to game but it feels like every match is a tournament. But i will rank n prowess is NOT a measure of skill. Ive beat god of destruction, tekken god Supreme, who were worse than a beginner

This game gets me frustrating I try hard not to get stressed and enjoy and have fun but is hard to deal with many strangers online who is toxic rude and mean for no reason each time I said GG he was being so try hard and he told me to touch grass hard and I was like I am just saying GG to show respect but I can’t take this game anymore everytime I get stressed out I keep matching with the same person over and over and over again that I can’t take it anymore so I have to unstall it. This game gives me a lot of mental health tekken 7 was a fun incredible game but 8 is too much chaotic and aggressive because of heat each time I am trying to be defense I get hit I loss and then they get toxic like why I know the game came out back In early 2024 in January but there’s no reason for anyone to be toxic and taking the game seriously

Bad Guide. You forgot most important point "just win lol". Jones aside, this is video that will especially help new tekken players. Small important wins add up in this game. Amazing video
