The floating cave fall you see in Descent Into Subconcious Stage is a clear big mistake by stage designers which they are not trying to fix, its actual purpose is level streaming, its a technique in which your game unloads 1 level and then loads other level for optimization purposes, so what actually happens is, when the floar breaks, player enters the falling cave, between that time, upper floar unloads, and lower floar loads up which are actually 2 level files(1 for each floar) in-game files, now they could have either used a BP to destroy the Cave meshes after specifc seconds or just used a material with Distance based Fade so player cant see it after reaching bottom floor : )
