Thanks man I find I’m never ready for followup in sentai if the opponents been blocking my string a lot, this will be a good way to practice reactions and getting more damage off 1->1->2

learning 1,1,2 Hit confirm is a really important thing for Reina beginners. -17 on Block if you finish the string is brutal.

@@defeatingvetis490 it's pressing forward and up at the same time on the dpad or stick. It'll be an upwards diagonal towards the opponent

this is all actually the same skill. this is what is called hit confirming (I know you probably already know, I'm saying it for new players). and yes, it is very important for reina. another excellent tool to use that requires confirming is sidestep hopkick or sidestep df1. it's extremetely useful against opponents that spam duck jab (or dick jab as some say). going for low parries or instant hopkicks aren't reliable and you shouldn't do it to avoid developing bad habits. sidestepping and then punishing is more reliable and safer (and also cooler lol). df2 won't launch because it will hit them ducking. if they whiff the duck jab you can go for df1, 2 or hopkick.

After the ff2 into 3 heat engager you can also mix up the opponent with her df3-3 or df3, 4-2 as well. All of her electrics are safe in heat mode so don't be afraid to throw them out.

Huh? Don't think I recall Reina having df3, 3 move. And doesn't 4, 2 comes out of QD not df? Seems important to point that out.

@Mozgodrobil df+3 gives you access to her wave dash cancelable moves. So her EWGF, her Electric kicks and her hell sweeps. When she's in heat mode they are electrics. Outside of heat mode they arent, but it's a very good mix up.

@@gamesibeat Right, absolutely forgot about that. But I'd suggest people to actually learn proper QD input and many ways you can cancel it into things and do actual electrics without relying on your heat meter, because they become unsafe on block. It's a thing every Mishima player has come to terms with at some point.
