while nina has guns, her moveset isn't all guns, same with victor, he has a big ass sword but he mostly uses karambits which are close combat knives. Previous character had fanatsy elements in their kit while clive kit is entirely fanatsy. it's not that fantasy doesn't belong in Tekken, it's more what degree of fantasy is too much for tekken

Should have given us Krillin

Victor also uses his fire sword Even tho they use that its different from clive beeing +6 on block, yoshi and vic almost always unsafe for their sword moves And then they dont have no crazy transformations and crazy element attacks All in all i can understand why people get mad

you mean that part where he summons the power of ramuh, ifrit, shiva, bahamut and phoenix? With enough meditation i'm sure its possi... no I can't back that one

People who think hes overpowered or that its some kind of unique thing to him haven't been playing Tekken long at all

it's unfortunate such a good game had so many people write a negative review cause of 1 character out of a massive roster

@@toxicabyzz Yeah i mean he'll get nerfed im sure. Just like drag was, azucena, and many other characters have been in the past. Its not uncommon that a DLC character in Tekken will be powerful like in tekken 7 Fahk, Leory, etc. Usually these characters are allowed to be a little more powerful to compensate for the fact that people who play them have to learn them from scratch, most other characters have that advantage of experience on him. It is better for a character to be released as strong instead of weak imo. Either way he will eventually fall somewhere in line with the rest of the roster. I dont see him being better than Claudio rn for example.

@09Drdray i find him atm easier to read than others, titan u punish, flashes red block low, lunge side step left etc etc. But if you miss the signal then it's gg

Something that people don't realize is that games in the past used to cost more. But, I know what you're thinking. How could games have cost more when games used to be priced at $60 USD? Because of inflation. 60 USD in 2012 was more money than in 2024. This means that games have steadily been getting cheaper over the years, excluding microtransactions. Gamers have been lucky that the price of games has been fixed for so long despite inflation. Not to mention, the development of games has gotten longer and more expensive. In the past, games would take 1-3 years to make, now it's 3-5 years. Developers and publishers need to make money somehow. Now, I'm not going to say that publishers only do microtransactions to cover costs. They obviously mainly do them to make as much money as possible. Now on the topic of Clive in Tekken, I think people are just being crybabies. Yes, Clive doesn't fit in Tekken, but at the same time he does. There are so many legacy Tekken characters that don't fit in Tekken. Alisa flies around the screen and has chainsaws and rockets, there was a boxing Kangaroo, Yoshimitsu has a sword and teleports, Raven does magic and teleports, Devil Jin can fly around the screen, Kazuya can shoot lasers, KUMA IS A FUCKING BEAR. I think people are just upset that it wasn't Tifa.

I had no idea games were considered more expensive back then but your reasoning makes sense to me now. That's also a good point about other crazy characters - there are way more than I realised lol devil jin really does fly around the whole damn screen particularly in tekken 8. People are for sure upset that Clive wasn't their Tifa Waifu.
