@@the_cyberpunk helps me use different parts of my brain and learn new skills for sure. Helps me to be more well-rounded (at least I hope so). Back when I ONLY played Ling my generic "Tekken" fundamentals suffered.

It's very easy to fall into the trap into partying too much with Ling, which is why I enjoy watching a fundamental Ling playstyle. 🧐 If we lived closer I'd love to have some sets with you. I know I'd get destroyed but you also play Ling so you know the struggle 😂. For now I'll enjoy your videos until that faithful day 😉

I feel like you were doing good in the Ling mirror until you got baited into trying to have a dance-off. Seemed like you lost a bit of focus (at least as a 3rd party observer)

I used to be able to poke and dance well in the game (if you look at my Tekken 7 videos). In terms of gameplay, Tekken 8 took the worst direction for my playstyle personally so it's been very difficult for me to adjust to the "aggressive" direction of the game. I lose to players I know I shouldn't be losing to. However as a Tekken player I just have to learn to adapt, and I know slowly but surely I'll improve 🤓

@@the_cyberpunk I understand. And I wouldn't say the other Ling was someone you "shouldn't lose to". He was also really good. He had better whiff punishment and better conversions when he landed opportunities. I'm just saying that I know it's easy to get distracted by that in a mirror and lose focus on the actual goal, which is to deplete the opponents HP, end-of-story. But yeah, just my observation. GGs nonetheless!

I appreciate the observation. Really helps to get outside input. Mirrors stress me out, even from my T7 days 😭😂
