@@genep9302 Going off of this, I think there's a possibility that the war that the Aoi Kingdom lost, was a war with the World Government. If the Aoi Kingdom wasn't fully incorporated into the World Government, or was part of the World Government and failed/refused to pay the full tribute, the World Government may well have wiped out the kingdom. It would explain Fujitora's general reluctance to go along with commands. The only question is: Would Akainu really have allowed Fujitora into the Marines then?

To play devil’s advocate, he actually hasn’t been to that many places where he even WOULD be recognized. Fishman Island, Zou, Wano, and Elbaph are all isolated from the world to an extent, so it would make sense that a lot of people there wouldn’t have heard his music. And if I recall correctly he never set foot on mainland Dressrossa. That leaves Toto Land and Egghead. I’ll give a pass to the scientists on Egghead, maybe they are too absorbed in their research to care about some newfangled skeleton music. And he was either in disguise or running away for most of WCI, so maybe some of Big Mom’s kids would have known who he was, but didn’t recognize him at the time.

Not just purple is the color of poison... most poisonous creatures are colorful... the reason is that during evolution usually colorful creatures did not survive because they were easier to find among nature... BUT through generations, a couple of few creatures that were colorful BUT also developed a bit of poison ended up killing their hunters or at least didn't make for a good meal... so predators started avoiding those... therefore leaving them alive to reproduce and thrive... No, the WG did not give Aramaki his fruit. Remember when he was first introduced speaking to Issho at Marie Geoise that it was stated he had been fasting for (IIRC 7?) years, which we found out later was possible because of his Ability. Photosynthesis, roots draining liquids and nutrients probably "not counting" as eating, etc. Since he had been fasting WELL before the draft, that means he had his power ti sustain him before the draft, so he had the Ability already, not provided to him by the WG.

Artur's translation for Bluegrass's power is probably more correct because it makes more sense. He said the condition for her turning something into a mount is whether or not her ability in haki surpasses theirs. I'm not fluent in Japanese, but I know enough that I can see there being a situation where a sentence could be translated in each of these ways. However, since Japanese relies so heavily on context, I am fairly certain that Artur's explanation is more accurate, as it lines up better with what we know about how devil fruits and haki interact.

All I know is that it can't be literally anything within a certain radius with no other conditions, or else she would be able to remotely mind control Kaidō if she got close enough. So the Arms-Arms fruit is the upgraded version of not just one, but two other weapon- related devil fruits. The Dice-Dice fruit is blades and the Gun-Gun fruit (that's what I'll call it) is cannons (presumably any type of gunpowder weapon). The Arms-Arms fruit can do both, and even modern weapons like missiles- which might have been weapons of the Great Kingdom. As for Hound, if his devil fruit is just the Dog-Dog fruit: Model- Hound, I'd imagine the breed to be more like a bloodhound or a mastiff. It would fit the more oppressive side of the Navy he clearly represents, as these breeds were used to hunt down (and sometimes kill) escaped slaves in Colonial America and the Confederate States prior to the civil war. For the "Nagagutsu" Kingdom, It's interesting there IS a country based on Italy, considering Loguetown and Water 7 are based on Florence and Venice, both Italian cities. For Aramaki, he tried to end it all with a woman, explaining the "double suicide"- theme. But it doesn't explain his fanatical belief in World Government propaganda.

Oh, there's actually a really good video that goes into detail about Purple is used for poison or similar as often as it is called, called "the colour of corruption" by Razbuten. Iirc, it basically boils down to purple being such a rare colour in nature it feels "unnatural", or something along such lines.

If aramaki got his devil fruit during the 2 year times skip, did he just not eat for a whole year before that? When he was first seen in silhouette he mentioned not eating for 3 years. We assumed right that it's because he ate a plant fruit so he could gain nutrients through photosynthesis. But if he only got it during the two year time skip then one year prior he was already not eating. So I'ma guess he already had the fruit
