@@glassgaming2302 Honestly, i'd love to see Tekking handle popular serieses outside of the Shonen anime formula such as Dungeon Meshi which has great worldbuilding from what I've heard. Tekking will still cover Hunter x Hunter though since Togashi's health seems to be improving and we already know he's done a couple dozen unreleased chapters and working on even more at a nice steady rate. There will be another series though. I can't tell you now but there will be another series and once that day comes, the whole world will be witness ( fingers crossed🤞).

I believe the memory wipe was ABSOLUTELY necessary. How could the smartest person in the world not figure out there was a lot of shady stuff going on in his own island for like months??? It wasn't perfect whit the whole offline share mode going on with Stella, Shaka and Pithagoras but it made the plot twist stick well, afterall, they not knowing was a part of the counter-measure.

I feel like it is also on theme for the sci-fi arc to have to trope of the deus ex machina plot twist at the end. The memory wipe I feel like was there to prevent Vegapunk from backing out of his plan to die at the last moment, as if he escaped to Elbaf he would be doing the exact same thing he told clover not to do in that flashback we see in this arc.

Honestly, it is very dangerous if they keep the memory intact. York would definitely find out the broadcast in no time if they're being suspicious. In fact, it was due to York accidentally bumped into Stella when he's "tinkering" Emeth which made York to conclude that the broadcaster is inside it.

33:50 speaking to that, something I rarely see anybody mention is the fact that Vegapunk perfectly replicated Kaido's devil fruit. "Big deal its just a zoan" No its a mythical zoan aka the most powerful type of devil fruit. It is literally canon that you could create an army of dragon's or Phoenix's or even Sun God's if you just have the funding/vegapunks knowledge(York). Like that is a way bigger deal than the green blood since those require seraphim to use

I think the Eternal Youth Surgery might be attached to the Awakening of the Op Op Fruit, and it doesn't seem like the Green Blood can mimic Awakenings, only normal usage

I think the memory wiping part was included for a few reasons. 1) Vegapunk knew that the Mother Flame was stolen which allowed him to confirm his hypothesis of the sinking being artificial. The whole point of the message was to make it believable for the layman by making a prediction that the sea level will increase. 2) So if VP knew that the 🔥 was stolen, why would he not look into who did it? Which means that he knew it was York. Now, you don’t want York to find out about the message cuz she would tip off the gorosei and they’d capture him alive, foiling the whole plan. 3) York knew that VP isn’t good at acting which made it impossible to hide the plan so much so that even readers couldn’t catch it. 4) Remember, the best case scenario for VP was to escape with the strawhats and address the world directly but that was something no one could have predicted. 5) VP was extremely remorseful for the nuke and wanted to atone for it. Him being alive doesn’t matter cuz his satellites can do what he can but him dying lends credence to the msg for the people. Plus it is easier for the satellites to survive without the WG knowing it. That I believe would not work out for VP as much. TLDR: the existence of the message (and him being smart and all) implies that he knew the 🔥 was stolen but you don’t want York to find out that he knows. Also, I like that he did that cuz it eliminates human bias from the execution of the plan as much as possible. If you don’t know the plan, you are less likely to mess up something, especially when it’s meant to be kept a secret. (This is essential what Mest does in fairy tail to infiltrate the Magic council)

We did need that plot point since despite having sufficient backstory for what was needed for Kaido for Wano, people still complained, despite Oda probably needing a lot of that hidden due to future story reasons. It's even possible that Zoro did something Ryuma related off screen that may be visited later as an example. I mean, he was lost and there were 2 weeks unaccounted for with some of them. Oda probably took those complaints as feedback, basically saying, "now shut up, I told you about Vegapunk" or something.

I have a few thoughts. Maybe the whole memory eraser thing is just a Tuesday thing for him. So Stella can keep learning new things. Kinda. Also from now when I am dming I will have punk records as a random encounter. It down in a remote spot getting raw materials. Like lava, wood, water ect. Vegapunk sells "magic" items for valuable resources. Because his stuff is tec based make not require attunement. But expensive. They can be a lore dumb as well

So side note: The downside to the green blood could be that you wouldn't be able to fully awaken the fruit power being copied. And we know that Vegapunk understands awakening because he's the one that points out Lucci and Kakoo's awakening as well as studying doflamingo's crew. So while he can copy the power it'll never be a complete copy because it's incapable of awakening. This is important because the eternal youth surgery of the Op-Op fruit is more than likely an awakened ability so that could keep that possibility of the table of York just spamming it on people

Tekking, I'm pretty sure if a sea bear was modified with missiles, Squidward would get no rest ever. Granted he doesn't get much thanks to Spongebob and Patrick, but add in the sea bear constantly shooting missiles at him, and he'll have no time for himself whatsoever. In trying to defend the mind wipe, I realized it was in fact unnecessary; everything still worked. However, I prefer its existence for the flow of the arc; it made the beginning more exciting. If you knew it was York off rip, why not capture her? (Stopping seraphim). Why Shaka call dragon? (Removing tension and suspense; creating questions). Why ask Luffy to escape if you resigned(that the right word??) yourself to die? (Then again, who doesn’t want to live?)

I really think Imu got their immortality through a large-scale human sacrifice with the op op fruit eternal youth surgery, like Fullmetal Aclhemist. Also Vegapunk is kind of not dead, the brain still works. They have the means to give him a new body, so I bet by the time the straw hats reunite with the other Vegapunks he's going to be brought back even better.

It was necessary. While the message was being broadcast, York mentions how the timeline about what he was saying didnt go with the timing the message was recorded and the knowlege he had and displayed. We would never come to the right conclusion about how that happened without it. Not counting the fact that was necessary so they could fool York with 100% accuracy.
