I have driven large (Canadian Class 3) vehicles for a living before. On a good day, it was like I had some kind of proprioception for the vehicle I was driving. 在中國區分道路，柏油馬路，雙向兩車道的一般都是國家或地方出資的省道、縣道等等。這種水泥鋪成的路，一般是鄉鎮、村社集資修的。省道縣道修路一般都像修高速一樣有規劃，像影片中這樣的就沒那麼上心了，以通車通人為目的，至於好不好走，費不費力是另外一回事，還有就是也許有其他路可以走，但這條路是捷徑。

It's because the Japanese aren't stupid. This "road" is very unsafe, think about it in winter, and not much good for anything except for very small cars. Any truck like a tractor trailer would not make it through. Nothing but a road hazard. Only good for mountain goats.

Ive noticed chinas landscape and construction is much more diverse and unique (except for usual recent modern megacities) than say america because it is thousands of years old where its all pretty much the same in america even though its vast. There are just very interesting and mysterious places too in china. You can see the organic start of it from hundreds or thousands of years ago til now blending modernization. There is so much history and varied quaint towns and villages.
