I just built one. Tekno has a carbon receiver mounting plate but you need the carbon front brace to use it. It allows you to mount the receiver up higher and makes room for the cap pack to mount were you have your receiver. It also has a wire management hole. Tekno RX Tray Carbon Fiber (EB/ET410) - TKR7299C.

To be competitive at Mimi's you got to run on slick tires the traction is very high. I ran bars my pace wasn't anywhere near everyone else's until I put on slicks and my car was more responsive had better traction and was on pace. Use the Ellipses for practice though great video maybe I'll make over there for a race.
