Friend went across there to Sweden it was "ROUGH" some ports hole out. The plates in those sprung loaded holders was firing plates everywhere! the grand piano that was bolted down well the legs was the piano was upside down!.He said wasn't many still standing on crossing and he and another guy went up to the top deck behind bridge and the captain said it was going to become a bit rougher!!! as they had to turn and they actually went through a wave! as the waves was that high!. When they got there the freight deck was a total carnage things everywhere

Hi Nipper, when I was in the RAF I remember when our Leyland Mastiff was replaced by a Seddy 401. Used to love driving it. We thought it was the bees knees. The OOCL stands for Orient Overseas container Line. Keep up the good work. 😎🇬🇧

Nipper, OOCL stands for Orient Overseas Container Line. My office is about 1/2 a mile behind the OOCL ship you passed on the way out. And Felixstowe is much larger/busier than London Gateway!

Thanks for posting, just told my dad about the Maudsley, he had an 8 wheeler, used to start it with a handle! (Dad 96) .Spoke to him again tonight, it was a chinese 6 with a starter, but no brakes on 2nd axle. He said the brakes didn’t do much when you pressed the pedal, just made a noise. The hand starter was an Atkinson.

I drove an F10 in the early to mid naughties for my dad and then all unwanted was a topline or new globetrotter etc but if I could turn back time id be in it. I believe Aitken and merry have it now

Hey Nipper this is the only second time I watched your videos in the start off your video you where driving the classic Seddon Atkinson I think that my father drove one off them in the 70s but he doesn't drive trucks any more but I was thinking off getting my driving licence but I think that I couldn't pass the test because I think that I'am too old too start driving trucks now.

Great video Nipper. I would prefer that 401, or an E series ERF than the latest MACK I finished my driving career on last year. American trucks have no character and are no fun to drive, unlike the British and European. The F16 looks superb, that’s quite a collection Mr Thomas has. 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇺🇸

hi nipper felixstone is biggest container port in uk and southampton is 2nd but southampton is the bussiest cruise liner port in uk most liners we have had in is 15 in a day-so do you know where MSC head quarters are 1 clue the country is land locked

I drove S A 400 with 180 Gardner 6 speed browns box after that S A 400 240 Gardner with 8 speed browns box both day cabs with 2 to3 nights out a week
