Tekno SCT review

In this video we test and review the basket case SCT from Tekno we got on eBay to see if it was worth the effort and expense we put into it. AJ puts this machine to the test and then goes over the ins and outs of this RC. Afterward, he answers our four questions to let you know where it stands with the channel…for now. Come along and see if this machine can crack the top ten.
We have become aware that the Tekno SCT 410.3 is on sale for around $300.00 now and at the time of shooting the video we had a regular price of $500.00 all across the eBay platform. Checking now the price is more manageable.

Absolutely loved that video montage showing the RC on a variety of surfaces and how it coped with different activities. The footage gave an honest impression to the viewer of what it'd be like to use the product.

I run mine as a mt on a 4s hobbywing sensor system. Maybe I just have got lucky with mine, but I doubt it! Tekno is on a different level. Very well thought out and engineered!

I race a 410.3. The prices your paying are for the racing and geometry options this kit gives, options that bashing just does not require. Can it be a basher ?SURE !! Just remember it’s designed for a track and factor that in. Lastly… No, unless your buying used or custom built this truck does not come RTR nor should it. Great video! Your love for the hobby just oozes out of you. +1 subscriber 🍻

I was kind of stuck between buying one of these or the Losi TT Pro. I'm just getting back into the hobby after a long time out of it, and I would have had to buy all the electronics, wheels, tires, etc, for the Tekno, and with a base price of $319, it got pretty expensive, and when I found a deal on the TT Pro for $400, I jumped on it. I do enjoy building things, but at several hundred more, I just don't see the value. I haven't run my TT Pro yet, I've been reinforcing the body and checking for things like loose screws. I did find one of the motor mount screws is stripped, but I know how to fix it, so it won't be a problem. I like your videos better than any other RC ones.

This is currently my favorite and toughest rc at the moment! I have several larger and more expensive rc! Until you drive a tekno, you are missing out! Stupid durable!

I have a the bigger 1/8 Tekno truggy and have found the damping was also too stiff for my track where the front skips over bumps. What is the piston layout and hole size you used on your 410SCT? Was bit disappointed the Tekno didn't score higher. 🙃

Out of the box the Ultimate is an awesome RC. The thing handles great and is fast. At the moment the Ultimate is our highest ranking RC for the channel. Thanks for asking 😎👍

Can’t fault it in the fun section (well you can of course haha) for needing to put it together and add electronics etc. For many that’s a huge part of the fun and is known when item is purchased 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

As you probably already know, we love the wrenching process around here. Building is a great part of the hobby for us, AJ in particular. We love the idea of being able to install our chosen electronics, but for the channel we usually go with what is considered stock. We don't mind the power and speed you get with the stock style components, but there's always a time when more power or speed looks too good to pass up. Thanks for commenting. 😎👍

Comparing this to a Slash in any way is just ridiculous. Run 30 packs through each and you'll have a sct410 and a pile of junk. I know, I just got one after getting sick of my upgraded Slash that still couldn't last a race day without something needing work.
