The reason why I find G600 irreplaceable and rock one to this day with 5 spares in my drawer in case they stop making them is the 3rd button under ring finger. Honestly why not a single mouse out there has this? Used to be a common thing before clickable scroll wheels...

My wife bought this for me to go with my recent PC build, and after having used it for a few weeks now, I can say that I really like this mouse. I don't have a frame of reference for any of the comprable high end mouses like it, since this is the first real gaming PC I've built, and the first time I've had a mouse that wasn't just a plain old HP/Dell standard issue job. That said, I really enjoy having all those buttons right there on the mouse. I don't even play MMO's that much, but I still use them a lot. At 40 bucks, I'd say it's worth real consideration for anyone looking for a mouse like this.

Had this mouse for two years or so after buying it on amazon for just 35 dollars. It's much better tahn mice that costs three times as much out there like the naga. The software is fine as well. I was very sad when the left msb became loose enough to start double clicking on everything.

My first proper gaming mouse was from Razer like 10 yrs ago. After that one I played many years with MX's and generally liked them, despite still fondly remembering my old Diamondback. Fast forwarding to a couple of years ago I decided to give Razer a try and bought Razer's Abyssus, which to my shock was a dreadful piece of equipment, the kind of garbage you wouldn't wish nobody, even your worst nemesis in Battlefield, to be stuck with. The first one broke in like 1 month (wiring exposed + one button broke almost simultaneously, light casual use). Got a replacement from amazon and that POS also broke within 2 months of opening the box. I am dismayed how a gaming-oriented company like Razer thinks they can stab their customers in the back by coming up with that kind of, well lets be honest, shit. Literally every 15-30€ laptop mouse I've owned has been a better gaming mouse than that arguably entry-level, but still gaming mouse, Abyssus. Build quality issues and even the fact that they went forth with this mouse, which was just plain horrible evaporated any goodwill I had with the company and all I can say is, a lot has to happen for me to consider one of their products again. I have been far more satisfied with my Logitechs and Microsoft mouses. /endrant

Razer is lol. Imperator 2012 I got as a gift had double click issue in only less than a month. Not surprising considering they spent all the money on marketing. On the other hand the Roccat Kone Pure Optical I bought for 250HKD in a promotion (that's 32USD) is still good as new after years of abuse. Not trying to make this sound like hard sell, but Razer stuff is just pure money grab to me while Roccat/Logitech are really trying to make good quality gaming peripherals with a passion.

I've had this mouse for almost over two years now and I cannot reccomend it enough, although I don't think you can buy it anymore. It feels great, moves great, accuracy is great, everything! The led's look awesome, the dpi switch is super helpful, and the side number buttons don't take as much force to press as he mentions and I use them a lot. I've had absolutely no issues with this mouth in the time that I've had it, and it's still going strong!

I use 5600DPI but I think this one would be great for when jumping up to a 4K display, as the extra DPI (not all of it) would make the mouse move a lot smoother without have to drag your arm across the desk.

I watched several tutorials to clean my Naga and this was, by far, the best. Thanks for sharing the pro tip about just lifting the corners of the tactile bottom material (I totally thought that was B.S. other people were suggesting to the world to just rip the whole thing off) and the details on cleaning the different components. Also, gj recommending against WD-40 - all around this was entirely not stupid and made perfect sense. Personally, I used Q-tips with tech grade isopropyl alcohol, but if anyone reading this has some iso and thinks they can do what I did, PLEASE DON'T!!! Rubbing alcohol or other regular alcohols, isopropyl or otherwise, WILL BREAK YOUR $#!7!!! It is ESSENTIAL when cleaning electronics to use TECHNICAL GRADE isopropyl alcohol, as it is 99.999% alcohol (thus no water) and it evaporates really quick. It's the main effective constituent of most consumer products like the one mentioned in this video, but is more risky to use as it is in liquid form and requires some delicate handling. If you leave the lid off too long, it will actually draw moisture from the air and no longer be anhydrous (does not contain water), which will cause it to fry your electronics. It's also not pleasant on skin/eyes/mouth/etc, so if you're a consumer-level nerd, go for the commercial lubricants. I'm picky about what cleaning products I use and usually make my own or use pure ingredients responsibly. You can get tech-grade iso at Fry's or a store that sells electronic components or possibly computer parts. And the internet :P I also used compressed air in the very beginning to knock off big dust and at the end to accelerate even and clean drying, but again: use responsibly. This one's a bit more straightforward and covered in warnings, but you have to use the hose (make sure you buy one the hose wasn't already stolen from) to get into the cracks and crevasses and you MUST hold the can upright the whole time, not at any kind of angle. Move the mouse around the hose, not the hose around the mouse. ......Or the mose around the house...... At any rate, sorry for passionately ranting for so long and occasionally yelling. Great video! I modulated the methods to my lifestyle (and the things I keep around the house - isopropyl alcohol being the only petroleum distillate I'd ever use) and wound up with an extremely clean mouse that I've had for about 4 or 5 years and have never cleaned. I even got the scroll wheel to stop squeaking! Thanks again!

the naga is meant for mmo but honestly its nice having those extra mapable buttons on the side in a few games i map the side buttons to specific weapons like in insurgency 1 button for my main 1 for my side arm 1 for nades ect so i can jump swap weapons without pulling off the wasd to hit a number key in games like gmod you can map your other options to it like in dark rp you can map fading doors to keys or in spacebuild map your ships keys to them it really is worthwhile having those keys available

I have this mouse as well, and it is amazing for the $40 pricepoint. I came from a Razer Naga Epic and it took some getting used to, but if the Razer drivers drive you crazy like they did with me, this is a great choice. Omron switches, sure, but at this pricepoint it's easy to replace after a few years. The side keys are a lot easier to differentiate from vs. the Naga, seeing as each row slightly faces a different direction.

The glossy plastic piece is there so you can grip it with pure friction from your palm. I barely grab the mouse as my hand is almost limp when using this mouse. Buying a used Logitech G600 is cheaper than UtechSmart Venus / Redragon Perdition and the G600 is much better engineered. The ring finger modifier button (they call it “G-Shift” or something like that) effectively gives you 24 thumb buttons. While overwhelming at first, once you’ve accustomed to the great shortcuts and macros you can set these to, you really don’t want to go back to any less. I recommend buying a G600 from the start.

Isn't the small button next to the left-click button on the UtechSmart used for some additional "fire" option (like repeat left-click 3 times), while the button for your ringfinger on the Logitch/Razer mouse has the "shift" option, which lets you put an additional binding for each of the 12 buttons on the left? So two completely different things or can you actually change both buttons to work like the other one too?

I"m currently using 2200 cpi with my naga 2012 edition on a 23" 1080p screen. Then again: 1. I don't like having to physical move my mouse up and down and side to side for a HUGE distance because, 2. Braided cables twist, kink and then break easier because the braiding doesn't let the cable straighten. They're far less durable then non-braided cables. I know this from years of using different mice.

I paid silly money for a left handed version of the Razer Naga 2014. I've since recovered from the hole it put in my wallet and we're very happy together. But that's not what's being discussed here so I'll shut my cake hole and let y'all get back to UtechSmart Venus chat.

I bought this mouse after Fallout 4 bricked my G600 when it crashed. I've been using this as a daily for over 4 years. I love the removable weights it comes with. I'll only upgrade if we ever see the gen 1 Tek Syndicate Standard Issue mouse again : ) This mouse is great for any game. I don't play MMO's but I like having the 12 buttons on the side for any game whether it be a FPS or and RPG. It helps distribute the work around so its not all on the left hand.
@sevenstacks19734 жыл бұрын
I purchased this mouse and had to return it...the buttons on the side are not easy to press. You really have to push them super hard and after an hour of gaming my thumb was in pain. Before this mouse I used Razer mice but the problem was they kept breaking and they are very expensive. My current mouse is the G600, it doesn't require pushing super hard for the side buttons to work and I like how the g600 is a big mouse, fits my hand perfectly. If Utechsmart make the side buttons easy to use I am sure more people will buy their product.

Cool! I own a UTechSmart Mouse and I really like it. The only thing I don't like about it is that there is no off option for my LED's. It also goes up to 8200 DPI, and that is even overkill but that's not a real issue that's just interesting to me at least.

Awesome mouse - if you don't want to spend out on the corsair m95 then buy this (ignore the razer and logitech offerings as this mouse is basically as good for a lot less) - yep I bought one. I like Tek syndicates reviews but I wish they'd show the included software more in depth and give opinions on it, a 3 second zoomed out snap shot isn't adequate, regardless I can confirm it is extremely easy to use and covers everything you need allowing the mouse to trigger literally every single button and media keys on your keyboard including easy to set up/record macros. Anyway I'm totally happy with this mouse (£40 in the UK, about $62) - its gonna be my "other" mouse for rpg/rts/mmo's (as intended) whilst I use either a func ms3 or mionnix naos 8200 (depending how heavy the mionnix is considering no weights) for fps duties.

I think I might give this a try. Just purchased a Logitech G600 and I absolutely hate it. I have medium sized hands, and it is still way too small for a comfortable grip. Too small for a palm grip, no thumb rest and the 3rd top click button prevents you from using your ring finger to stabilize or rest. I do like the software and the G-Shift function that effectively doubles your button count, but due to its small size, it's just a pain in the hand and a pain in the ass to control.

Ryan Copeland I totally agree. The G600 is not a bad mouse at all. It's very solid and responsive, and the software is far better than Razer's Synapse 2.0 (I have an Orbweaver). The Naga thumb buttons are too easy to press which is annoying. They also arent set up like this 0:45 where the buttons are slanted. Utech also gives you a pointer finger button next to the left click which is really nice. I havent tried the logitech g600, but the Utech is better than the Naga.

No for that you need two tubes of toothpaste, a rubber band, two pygmy shrimp, a cell phone, a AA battery, an envelope, 3 jewel cases from cd's and the un gnawed portion of a milk bone you gave to your dog.

I recommend this mouse for sure. Mine lasted almost four years of HEAVY gaming-think 4-8 hours a day on non-work/non-school days. The click is finally giving out on me now and plastic fumes are the only reason I’m not giving it a viking funeral. The G600 is on sale for very cheap right now, so I’ve decided to finally move on. If not for the sale I’d buy another Venus because I can’t understand paying full price for a Logitech or Razor with the Venus available.

I'm here looking at the venus as an option because I want the wireless option with all the side buttons. I've been using a G600 for the last 10-11 years and it's just been in the last year or so that it's started to have some issues. I've been extremely happy with the G600, except for the thing that the guy in the vid mentioned with the heavier braided cables which the G600 has. And I do think I'd rather have the extra left click button like on the Venus over the ring clicker on the G600. I used it a lot in my MMOs when I got the mouse, but that was actually the first thing to go belly up on me so I got used to just hitting Shift/Ctrl/Alt on my left hand while using the mouse buttons on the right hand. Which is fine, since the ring click only did Ctrl, anyways, so I was still having to use my left hand for modifiers already.

So, I have a ten dollar mouse and it works perfect during Counter-Strike. What is the benefit for buying an expensive mouse? Just wondering.

hope someone can help me out a bit here, but i happen to have this exact mouse and it's squeaks whenever i try to roll it up. Is there a way to disassemble this and get the squeak away? it's starting to annoy me but it still works regardless

Would a logical purpose for overkill, ultra high dpi maybe for use gigantic displays or video walls? like specialty displays that may be crazy high resolutions?

I'm looking for an all around gaming mice, g502 or g602? Or a g502 and just buy a separate mmo mouse?
@TheZdgzdg10 жыл бұрын
excellent review, i couldn't hear the clicks very well, i consider that an important factor in my buying decision as i like to do late night surfing and gaming while others might prefer to sleep. So is this mouse a soft/quiet clicker ? i hate my naga cuz its switches for left and right buttons are loud. i need the 12 buttons on the side for macros (like my naga), does the logitech&venus software allow long macros with lots of sequential key presses (10+ one after the other , not together)? oh and LL&P \v/

@shanebacawaka it's also because of batteries, etc. And I've had connectivity problems with wireless mice in the past. Response time was fine though.
