The Obsbot Tiny 2 has forced my hand... I've switched to this tiny (fancy) webcam and ditched my large Panasonic GH4 micro 4/3 SLR camera. This also does a lot more than the big SLR did. It can swivel and pivot, meaning it can follow me around. Beyond that, there are post-processing effects that are really handy. I don't have to color correct in post anymore!

I can tell the difference between your Panasonic and this one and the Panasonic picture is MUCH BETTER than the tiny 2, it's not even close. Stick with your old, big camera. Or get a Sony ZVE1

@@teksyndicate Your camera is your business card and your identity online. If you skimp on it, you skimp on your image and identity. If you can afford the ZVE1 then you should get it. If not get the best you can until you can afford it. If you can afford the ZVE1 - get it!

Have you graded the picture? It's pretty washed out in compared to the camera that you are filming the OBSBOT with.

Hey, I noticed that too. It could be a lighting issue,Tiny 2 performs way better in good lighting! Maybe tweaking the settings can help bring out the colors more

Cameras need enough light to operate optimally, but as photographers, we too often set the lighting for the camera's benefit. We should sometimes consider using lighting optimized for the comfort of the subject and realize that a darker grainier image can be acceptable. Instead of always adapting to the camera's needs, the camera should adapt to our situation. Seeing every skin pore and tiny features is not better. The viewers don't always expect or desire a news studio's quality lighting for KZbin content. The first thing we do when setting up to begin a social media session we use special ring lights and fill lights, but we should realize that humans don't normally live in those optimal lighting situations. The average person doesn't;t appreciate all of the effort that goes into setting everything up, and they also don't care about how much grain a video has if within reasonable limits. The point is that the average streamer or creator goes overboard in the lighting department, a darker lass illuminated studio will produce a nice shadowy slightly grainy look that most people accept as normal.

It follows you around, but truthfully, the SLR image is much better. I can’t see spending $150-$180 unless you need a dedicated WebCam and don’t mind the quality Hitt. I think most people who use it will not use the tracking very often.

That’s fair! The GH4 is awesome for pro-level stuff, but Tiny 2 is more for quick setups and portability. It’s all about what fits our needs!

not all AIs are large language models, image recognition like the kind that would be used to detect and follow your face is also AI

There is no scenario where the OBS BOT beats a GH4 (except autofocus). Your face is blown out so badly that it actually looks like you are wearing a cowl (mask). Just set the GH4 to focus manually and leave it. OBS Bot is just a webcam with a few gimmicks. GH4 destroys it.
