Loved ending where we began...full circle! (and thanks for keeping Israel clean and beautiful!) I have read that Israel is the only nation with more trees now then they had at the turn of the 20th century...over 250,000,000 planted. !!! I always thought they meant the wonderful forests and woodlands planted by J.N.F. Keren Kayemet (I have loved this organization for as long as I can remember- every time I have visited I would plant an additional tree by hand in Israeli soil..for me a spiritual, almost mystical experience) yet our walks together across the land, and especially today in Tel Aviv.. has shown me how this desire to restore the land also is happening, dramatically so, in urban areas! I wouldn't call Tel Aviv the "White City," but the "Green City"! Thanks for the walk...!

There's a different perception of JNF/KKL outside of Israel among diaspora Jews and inside Israel among Israelis. A lot of Israelis don't view them favourably partly because they're huge landowners and they're kind of opaque as an organization. They've done a number of big deals/land swaps with the government/Israel Land Authority with little oversight. Also, in the past, they used pesticides and herbicides extensively and planted mono-forests, which was heavily criticized by Israeli environmentalists. For the most part, though, they've modernized those practices. Finally, they've had controversial policies vis-à-vis the Arab sector. They've been accused of planting forests as a way of containing Arab lands and villages in the Galilee and Negev. Decades ago, they also planted over some abandoned Palestinian villages.

Architecture, roads, services such as electricity and water. Infrastructure and planning. Tel-Aviv has become very professional to both start and maintain such a quality of life here. From sand dunes and swamps. Very professional. And subtle with it. Living this well is a good revenge.

yes the transformation is epic, like many emerging economies. glitzy skyscrapers skylines and lots of congestion. Tel Aviv back then had 1 office tower - Shalom Tower (1965) nowdays there's 300 towers in tlv and its close metro cities (ramat gan, givatayim, bat yam, bnei brak). 100 more u/c as we speak. the metro line opening in 2022 will bring even more huge change along it.

Tel Aviv itself is about 400k-500k residents (second largest in Israel), but like someone say here, Gush Dan (aka Tel Aviv Metropolitan Area) is about 3.5-4 million residents.
@livni24 жыл бұрын
Tel Aviv pop. has 3 definitions. The city limits itself - 450,000 with 100k daily working in the city. Then theres Tel Aviv District (11 cities, inner core) which are ~1.5 million. Then there's larger metro area called "Gush Dan" or "Dan conglomerate" (named after the ancient tribe of Dan, in this area) with outer-ring cities (about 20 satelite cities) which is 3.5 million, about 35% of Israel's pop and 1,500 sqkm in size = equal to greater london in size.

I did not ask any questions! Israel has no future! Even whole middle East in general! We are in Sun cycle minimum but this is not ....it is but that would be a short cut! There will be a war in the region during the current dacade and you have no power neither to stop it not to avoid it! You are not Vladimir Putin on Botox after several plastic surgeries or he is a double him now in Moscow who like in Greek mythology Atlas or the one in New York City on the Rockefeller Plaza holds in his strong hands 9 timezones economically stagnant backward in many ways country and even retarded I'd add in so many ways like the leadership in charge and the way this country is being managed or if you do prefer a better world run! I'd go on forever and ever but it really doesn't have any sense anymore!

@@mutabore7 My mental health is fine or even in excellent condition or maybe not in 100% excellent it should have been! I'd have to fix few things in my body that's been hit over time hard not once but twice and even more times, but that is just the physical side, material but it does influence my intellectual and mental performance! I think, your capabilities given you by God passed down generation after generation through your parents are nothing comparing to that of mine but I am the only one who knows that! I do not know who you are or what your age is as well how much you know and what exactly! I know in hundreds of thousands of hours spent over years in front of computer screens processing amounts of data unavailable to process for an average human monkey homo sapiens and if my brain says something it sure must be right or is always right over the time! Problem with mental health is this, that too many people are watching, reading, listening to not what they should be or whom they should be watching as well listening! Today's world is a Facebook Donald J. Trump Melania Trump Mk-Ultra Beta Kitten Apprentice Show and even Account still ongoing in TV and in the White House! Someone was greedy and stupid enough to create that dangerous fictional world fakeing as well manipulating facts from the past, whether it is Encyclopedia Britanica managed by the long gone British Empire or Wikipedia managed and manipulated by the CIA in the past and maybe every on a daily basis to corporate news or highly consolidated masmedia in general with their information controllers and gate keepers but only I do understand what I mean by that! We live in a physical world in physical bodies affected as well impacted by much higher forces we do not have control over them! Money is fiction money is numbers if we decide and agree that money is numbers on paper .... I was going something with that sentence and the sentence is sumed up by me this way, we will see very soon because US Presidential Elections are coming and US and her economy greatly and sometimes greavaly impacts future events! But again, it is only me who understand that since I fo possess proper knowledge aquired over long periods of time!
