Tel Beersheba

Beersheba is a large tell located in Southern Israel. This site is associated with Abraham and Isaac, they dug a well here that is supposedly the well that is still located outside the city. Beersheba translates to "Well of Oath" since Abraham gave seven lambs to swear an oath that it was he who dug the well. During biblical times Beersheba was the southernmost town settled by the Israelites which is why they say from Dan to Beersheba.
