Tel has a new Truck!!!!! Whoop Whoop! Cross RC HC4

Whoop Whoop indeed. I have been eyeing up a Cross RC HC4 for some time now. I love the look of the cab and the more compact size is very appealing. I am better at dealing with small things!
After selling the mammoth there was a 12th scale hole in my rc fleet so something needed to be done about this.
This is not an unboxing video but a video take you through my plans and why I chose this truck. I also show you a size comparison between the HC4 and the MC6.

Wow this is a whole new world of scale RC HC4 and the family of other vehicles they produce. A bit out of my price range as I've been a big fan of the WPL BTrucks. Yeah I've just happened on these last week around 01/28/2023 wonderful thank you and looking forward to your channel.

Good choice, I do like the HC4. I know it is a bit stubby looking compared to the HC6, but it looks more maneuverable and less likely to get caught up. I have seen that colour scheme too, good choice. Look forward to the build. 👍

You’re gonna love it and totally useable in comparison with the BC8. Love my HC6, pretty much use it like a normal rig.

Ah ok, let me guess they are a nightmare to mount ☹. I am spraying them black but I expect the paint will chip off when I mount them. I intend to lacquer them as well. Any other tips to try and stop the paint coming off ?

@@antrc Don't remember with the six and standard tyres (it was horrible with aftermarket ones), but the Gaz ones were actually okay. Just fiddly with a million tiny bolts. As for the paint, just sand the stock paint to give a good key for the black. If you really wanted to go to town you could take the rims to bare metal and use a dark primer that won't be so obvious if it chips (the inner bits aren't that exposed so probably not worth the hassle). I'd probably just key them and spray them. Easy to touch up chips as you go, especially with black, and especially if you don't want pristine looks anyway!

how hard do you think it would be to mount this cab to a trx6 chassis or is it even possible ?

To me mine is a 1/12th, the truck is a M35A2 Bobbed Deuce. I think they are a custom chop truck so I do not think made for the military. Watch this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYLWcpawpr2lars

@@antrc I only found out they were just conversions a long time after I build mine. I think now any paint scheme is right for it and not really army but I did.
