असदुद्दीन ओवैसी की पार्टी AIMIM की राजनीतिक ज़मीन है हैदराबाद। तेलेंगाना चुनाव में ओवैसी की पार्टी के 9 उम्मीदवार चुनावी मैदान में हैं। ओवैसी के छोटे भाई अकबरुद्दीन अपने भड़काऊ भाषणों की वजह से न सिर्फ विवादों में रहे हैं बल्कि जेल भी जा चुके हैं। इस बीच हैदराबाद जो ओवैसी का गढ़ है वहां बीजेपी का एक अकेला नेता ओवैसी की पूरी पार्टी को खम ठोककर चुनौती देता आया है। हिंदुत्व की राजनीति पर बेहद मुखर रहने वाले तेलंगाना से बीजेपी के इकलौते विधायक टी राजा सिंह ने इस बार के चुनावों में ओवैसी भाईजान के साथ बड़ा खेल कर दिया है।
