And this lecturer/presenter/facilitator is so cool w her knowledge n confidence. I think each learning session with her would be so interesting.

BTS is a unit at top of antenna The thing you are explaining is BBU ie Baseband unit. BTS and RRU combines and makes the antenna unit.

BTS itslelf is tower site comprises BBU(on ground either in shelter or Cabinet) + RRU and Antenna's(on tower)...the equipment which u mentioned in shelter is actually a BBU which is installed in controlled environment while RRU and Antenna in Tower top. BBU communicate with RRU via CIPRI interface.
