Macmull sounds so much better. I played on these two guitars back and forth for 2 hours.. Macmull guitars are more open, better note separation and way more cutting!

I think Fender without a doubt wins in terms of pricing, looks, and sound. I don't understand why pay thousands of dollars for a strat and tele copy.
@dragonsquare28025 жыл бұрын
I write this without having heard your conclusion.. (listening through my phone speaker) The S types sounded pretty simular in my ears and without considering playability etc I couldn't choose which I would prefer. The Ts, however, were very different. Macmull had more mids and sounded overall fuller. The Fender was more on the hollow/midscooped side. Here I prefered the Macmull in basically every sound clip. Very nice video and playing, bro!
@HarryAndAGuitar5 жыл бұрын
Nice man! The main thing for me with both guitars was better dynamic range, string separation/balance and presencey high end/clarity that the macmulls seemed to have! Thanks for watching! :)
@dragonsquare28025 жыл бұрын
@@HarryAndAGuitar yeah, man. Dynamics are probably a thing you rather feel than hear I suppose.. but yeah.. they stood a bit more upfront in the mix.

Yeah I agree with you about the sound of the macmull’s but at that price point and this is just my personal taste I really don’t like the head stock design. Friedman did a much better job but that’s just a personal preference thing . Great playing as always 👍🏻

It’s definitely something that grows on people too, I like how they look and even if I didn’t, the sound outweighs everything for me, great great guitars!

Thought the Macmulls were more crisp and punchy. The Fenders were a tad bit warmer... Guess it totally depends on your taste and what you're willing to spend cause those Macmulls don't come cheap...

My dude, as always, my respect to you, you are really great with the guitar. PD: A very quick question, maybe a bit unrelated. How do you mute the guitars in the tracks you are covering? Could you do a tutorial for that, or at least give a quick explanation, I'm new to playing guitar and I'd really like to play as if I was playing with the band, haha, but hearing the guitars in the track kinda bothers me. Thanks in advance my dude. :))))

Hey man great video. I prefer the Fender, I think it's warmer and crisp in a nicer way than the Macmull and I also think it's cheaper maybe? Just an advice: the natural harmonics in Lenny by SRV are between 11th and 12th fret, not between 12th and 13th as you played.

Everyone banging on about the headstock... Yes it is not as good looking as the F but you cannot improve on perfection! In my mind I think they should change the body shape slightly to go along with the headstock so they have their own guitar and not a half strat half macmull. In terms of sound they all sounds great - I think we over analyse tone these days. What is important is which one FEELS the best. Great work on the comprehensive vid Harry

Actually, IMHO, Macmull sounds like a Fender Custom Shop. It sounds more resonance. But The '59 sounds way more vintage and has more character.

Personally, I think the Fender Strat sounds creamier and I much prefer it. Imagine if Macmull were the original designers of the Stratocasters and Fender was the custom builder, we would say the same thing about how terrible the Fender headstock is, just because we are used to seeing a Macmull headstock.

There's something fundamentally wrong about having an uber-expensive design knock-offs. At least try to inspire us with a dab of 'modern' alternations like Silversky not that they're completely justified but at least try to convince the price tag ffs.
