Vikas does a great job of taking complicated procedures and protocols in an understandable step-by-step fashion. One thing is for sure, you know your subject matter and know how to relate this to your audience. With my deepest gratitude, thank you!! Vikas, I have one suggestion on the production side. The voice compression on your annunciations on your "s" sounds are sometimes a bit over-powering. It would be a fantastic idea to upgrade to a higher quality microphone. I use the Samson Stage PXD1, a wireless USB lapel microphone. It seems well balanced. You put a lot of work into your presentations, you deserve to have a really good microphone. Please don't get me wrong. You are a great speaker, and I can understand you very well. But the high-pitched ring caused by certain speech patterns limit the amount of time for continuous listening. Also, if you lower the volume on your intro music jingle, at the beginning of your videos, it will also be a significant improvement.

You presented CSCF as P-I-S (CSCF). On VoLTE Architecture common scheme (11:45 min) there is no link betwen P-CSCF and I-CSCF. That's way P-S-I (CSCF) may be more correct for inderstanding. What do you think? In any case your video is so good. Thank you very much!

When USIM itself having binary (i.e. SIP user agent) capability of deriving IMPI and IMPU, then why we need ISIM? what made ISIM more suitable for VoLTE? Awaiting for your reply. Thanks.
@TelecomTutorialinfo6 жыл бұрын
ISIM carry a lot of Data specifically used in SIP protocols such as your IP Multimedia Private Identity (IMPI), domain, IP Multimedia Public Identity (IMPU) and cypher keys which makes it ready for VoLTE & Make it more secure USIM does not have those kind of information. It has instead IMSI, SPN, Cyphering and Authentication keys used during registration in UMTS/LTE networks , It needs Binary to convert and extract IMPI & IMPU for use in VoLTE

Can u pls explain,what is meant by CODEC?
@TelecomTutorialinfo5 жыл бұрын
VoLTE uses RTP ( which is Real time transfer Protocol ) . This is widely used protocol for real time communications such as Voice or Video . RTP ensures Reliable delivery . As with any digital voice system, a codec must be used. The VoLTE codec is that specified by 3GPP is the adaptive multi-rate, AMR codec that is used in many other cellular systems from GSM through UMTS and now to LTE. As far as speech codecs are concerned for VoLTE , the basic Adaptive Multi Rate (AMR) speech codec is mandatory; the popular data rate for good speech quality is 12.2 kbps . AMR is old codec & in use since few Years now after 3G Era . RTP over UDP is used to transport AMR speech.
