I must be person #6 to get one of these. My company auctioned several of these off and I was sure I can use it as a standalone monitor but I can't even get that to work. I do not have the touch panel. I reset the damn thing and have tried everything to get it to switch to any of the HDMI ports but nothing. It always goes to the please connect your touch panel and I already did the peripheral / touch panel = 0. {sigh}. Should it just go to the HDMI when I turn it on?
@JuliansRandomProject Жыл бұрын
If you got the touch panel message to go away you should be able to plug in an HDMI device (dvd played, computer, console etc) and it’ll switch to it. If that doesn’t work find me on IG and I’ll mail you a spare touch panel I have. Godspeed

HI Julian, I picked up one of these and a USB video capture card, I've connected the USB video capture card to the HDMI output (TOP HDMI port right?) but I cant seem to get the selfview to go to the output HDMI? Is there something I have to change in the settings?

Hello Kim I’m the Netherlands! Check the description for help getting into the settings after a factory reset. Then you should be able to use the display as HDMI display and the camera can be output as HDMI to an HDMI to USB in dongle. Then on your computer you take the USB camera feed and use it for Microsoft Teams or zoom or whatever. Godspeed.

Hey loved your video! we just picked up our MX300 at an auction as well. When we plug into HDMI nothing but the “welcome please connect your touch panel displays” any tips?
@JuliansRandomProject Жыл бұрын
Yeah, Get into the web interface for it via your router and a web browser. Then go playing around in there for the right settings. System Config/Peripherals/ Profile TouchPanel = 0. Save and reboot. Also make sure you're using the correct hdmi port. good luck

I picked up a dx80 @ an auction. How can I access the cam and features for zoom and team meetings? I have been unsuccessful in finding any online information.
@JuliansRandomProject10 ай бұрын
If you have an HDMI out you should be able to pipe the cam signal to that and then into a usb capture device on the computer running zoom/teams

What did you change/modify to bypass the "touch panel required" screen?

After you log in to the web interface it was in the settings, System Config/Peripherals/ Profile TouchPanel = 0. Save and reboot. Good luck

I saw your video I was experiencing some of the same things the ppl in the comments have. It worked when I plugged it in at the place I got it which in all fairness was connected to a desktop CPU. I figured great I can use as a standalone, but once I did factory reset it will not display. I recently got a tablet to see if it helps. I also read something about having a certain HDMI cord? I also was wondering if maybe since I did a reset that it needs to update, Not sure if that's true but any help or advice would be helpful

If you did a factory reset then all the settings are set to default. You’ll want to connect over web interface and go playing with all the settings to see if it changes to what you need. And yes, I discovered in plugging multiple devices that it’s picky about the HDMI type. Try high quality HDMI cables or cables from different vendors. I remember setting for what behavior happens when HDMI is plugged in. Start there. Good luck!

@@JuliansRandomProject the most amazing thing happened, once I plugged in the tablet and it did its thing I got the share screen function to work! Only on DVI for sure. Still have to try and get some new HDMI cables anyways since mine are old as dirt. Thanks so much for your video!

Do you have any more progress on this project? I work for a K-12 School District and a hospital donated one of these in like new condition to us. Other than using it as a monitor, I have not used it for much else. It would be nice to be able to use it as a conferencing station for our teachers. So I guess I am one of those 6 people. :)
@JuliansRandomProject Жыл бұрын
Yes. I may make a video. But until then, you can buy a $20 HDMI to usb capture dongle on amazon and route that to any video conferencing software. Use the HDMI out into the dongle. It'll show up as a USB camera. Then you're all set from there.

Just picked up one of these without the controller. Going to pick one up from EBay. Any other suggestions or tips? Do I need licenses, accessories or to be setup on Cisco to be able to use it?
