I forgot to mention, but you need to add fzf to your extensions for the config, I will mention again tomorrow but you have to do this. Was too excited to show off telescope LUL require('telescope').setup { pickers = { find_files = { theme = "ivy" } }, extensions = { fzf = {} } }

I can't believe I thought I was actually using the fzf extension this whole time.

will you make video about refactoring in nvim, I see that this feature is available in Jetbrains tools, and I wonder that is it possible in nvim. Example, change the function name and it will change also the file name, file path in import section of other files....

more and more plugins are having telescope integrations to the point where i wouldn't be surprised if it becomes integrated in neovim in a few years one way or another just fyi, if it weren't for telescope I think i would have given up fighting Microsoft's bullshit and would have just migrated to jetbrains rider + other jetbrains products. tyvm for your work and that of the other contributors

I might be missing something but I don't see the "LSP References" result that TJ shows at 4:56 when I follow along. What am I missing there?
@ego_rod4 күн бұрын
In the normal mode leave cursor on something that has references (e.g. a variable in the code). Then type `:Telescope`. Then type `lsp_references` and press enter. Another way of doing the same is in the normal mode typing ``:lua require('telescope.builtin').lsp_references()` (again, the cursor should be on the thing you want to get references for). And of course you can map it to something like TJ did for other pickers here: ``` vim.keymap.set('n', 'gr', require('telescope.builtin').lsp_references, '[G]oto [R]eferences') ```

Teej I'm using kickstarter and it's very educative, even with the keyboard quicklist (press c, it pops up a list of what keys you can follow it up with). But my #1 prablem with nvim atm is I keep forgetting what plugins I have and what I can do with them and what the shortcuts are. I'm overwhelmed. Doctor Teej do you have a prescription for that? 😅
@theangelofspace155Ай бұрын
Im also using Kickstarter, I am planning on deleting the whole config and follow the serie to start over, but I need for the serie to be completed. i dont want to have a half working nvim
@BvngeeАй бұрын
building your configuration from scratch (even somewhat based on kickstarter) will probably help. Also having to go through the motions of configuring every plugin can help you really decide what stuff is necessary and what isn't :P I'm now on my third-ish from-scratch iteration of my neovim config and each time I end up with less plugins overall.
@Ancipital_Ай бұрын
@Bvngee this is a good idea. I was on the fence but I am going to build it from scratch today. Thanks.

tj I followed this tutorial completely and I set the lsp_reference on gr but it's works very slow I need to wait like 2 seconds but the find files works perfectly blazingly fast. Is there something I can do? Thank you for the series of these videos. I started nvim thanks to you.
