Actually Tariq has just given an summary of what he as an old leftist believes the state of politics in the Global West is. And indeed, for the traditional left in Europe it looks Gotterdammerung, end of the transatlantic power line and the final highway that is.

Glen Levinzon do you not know his name or something? And no he didn't; wilful destabilisation on the part of the right and the fecklessness of his chosen dauphin caused the damage to Venezuela. Chavez is still regarded by 79% of the Venezuelan people as their greatest ever president.

Chavez was a hero! It was the US, the Corporate State of America that caused problems for Venezuela, not Hugo Chavez, he caused problems for the rich elites and uplifted the poor. He was a great man
