I can’t imagine that this was ever better, just perfect. So grateful for once it was on video.

to hear Verlaine's inspiration for this, esp the guitars, check out Elliot Ingber's (Winged Eel Fingerling) solo on Alice in Blunderland, from Beefheart's The Spotlight KId - it is xlnt

What a good band they were/ are ! I'd forgotten how much I like them. (ps Jagger recruited Jimmy Rip for his 'Wandering Spirit' album. Gives it a really earthy feel!

Yeah, waited forever for this. I never had the opprotunity to see them live, I'm not sure if they ever played Seattle. They sound very good after all these years, so I guess it was worth the wait.

What happened to Richard Lloyd? It's not Television without him too.

mongo2360 Richard pubblished 6 album since the band dismantled and never wanted to be part of it. Among his current projects there's a reformation of Rocket From The Tomb

+mongo2360 Television would never play if they had to wait for Richie to show up. And Jimmy Rip plays the solos better anyway; since 1978 I bet he's played more gigs with Tom than Richie has.

Lloyd got tired of waiting around for Verlaine to decide to work.
