Jamaicans have a culture of breaking safety rules as a form of excitement. If you think am joking just walk on any construction site in jamaica and you will see no PPE worn by the workers. Mixing cement in slippers to no safety glasses, it goes on and on. We enjoy taking risk, its our culture. Sad but true, i didn't realize how reckless we were till i move to the states and saw a different lifestyle and respect for public safety.

Wen u work overtime u get the same rate. King Alarm have 60 hour work week not 40 and u don't get pay for the 20 hours at over time rate u get the same rate. When u go on duty if u suppose to get off seven most or every day u will work a hour or two or even three and u will not get pay for it

I was inside a "round-about" in Morant Bay, St. Thomas and a "Taxi Driver" coming from Seaforth, and trying to enter the round-about began quarreling with me screaming that "you a idiot? Good morning, It is your government fault why inflation is going so high. We Jamaicans are tired of this. You are taking us for idiots. If it was not for the private sector that would not be built. We Jamaicans are suffering That makes no sense. What are you doing for the people of Jamaica because even if you increase their salaries you and the private will benefit and grow. Everything goes back to you two but now noone is buying and all that money goes to Chinese while you get and enormous increase but do not need to buy nothing. Then Jamaicans public/ civil servants and other Jamaicans cannot afford to buy goods and services edible/nonedible products from Jamaica because of this. Private sector produce but no purchases then products expires. You need to be smart as a government and forget classism and let the country grow. Give the public/civil what they need. What is Jamaica if we as a people of Jamaica live like cockroaches and Johncrows scavenging. Thank Yah for mangoes and apples and fruits because it the only reason why we are surviving and be healthy with these cheap plastic goods imported. When will our Jamaican people grow in wealth? That is the question? If Jamaican workers grow in wealth we will grow as Jamaica. We will face a stag inflation soon.
