Ali is a good human. He always tries to improve his knowledge. As someone from India i can say the young Sikh brother is not a scholar and is slightly misinformed. When Sikhs are told to ask the Guru for help in trivial manners, it means to read the Sikh scriptures which is referred to as the Guru (knowledge). It is clearly understood that youre not asking the Guru that was alive but is now dead. He was a human. When you have more serious questions or od youre in an existential crisis you ask God. He's the one eternal source of knowledge. There is no intermediate person between you and God.

As a human on earth we are the most knowledgeable compare to anything in the world so a life as a human is a test if you did bad in this life your cycle of life continues as a animal insect etc until you prove to god that yes I was at my best and once for all you’re freed from all suffering life is a test and suffering until there is no life and death for your soul

Sikhs beleive in one spiritual energetic being/ force/ atom...which is called waheguru...zero beleive god in the sky...you are in creation...no separation...

This guy wants to find god with intellectually god is LOVE. It’s like have conversation about alcohol only way to know the affects of it you have to drink it nobody’s can get drunk talking about alcohol. You can have experience when you sing his praises and meditate on his name you can call him Allah. Sikh call it Waheguru. Only way to know God you have to experience it.God is everything there nothing but god. We all are vibration, Sound, Word. In sikhi it’s called Shabad. Shabad is our GURU and awareness is the student.

Ali an interesting conversation. Just a couple of points which may help you understand Sikhi better. 1. You refer to Prophet Mohammed having died. However Sikh Guru lives today and forever in the form of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. One key difference between a Guru and the Prophet. Another is a Satguru (as in the 11 Sikh Gurus) are perfect in every way and therefore cannot make mistakes. All other beings can make mistakes, do make mistakes and have made mistakes. 2. The difference between God (Allah) and Guru is analogiesed in Sikhi as the recognising the difference between the Ocean and the Wave. Ask yourself if you wanted to go directly to the Ocean to help you in life, how can you not go through a Wave to get there? But you understand the difference between an Ocean and a Wave. For a Sikh, there is not difference between a Guru and Waheguru/Allah because they're made of the same light and therefore cannot be separated just like you can't seperate a Wave from the Ocean from where it comes from and goes back too.
