Lodi was named after a race horse named Lodi..My great great grandparents migrated from N.Dakota in 1870 by wagon to Lodi California.They were German Dutch.Job opportunity's were posted in the Dakotas for building the railroad and so they loaded up their wagons and headed West.

Lodi is one of the jewels in the Central Valley of California. I highly recommend visiting any time you are in the San Joaquin Valley.
