Thuis slower vertsion makes a change from the more widely known version by the late, great, and much-missed Kirsty McColl, with it's driving ,up-tempo beatbut I like this version just as much. I always thought that it was actually called Tell ME Ma, but it depends where you come from I suppose.

There is no version by Kirsty. There is a version posted on KZbin that has her photo and says it is her but it is by Shamrock. It has been mentioned many times in the comments but it appears it makes no difference and thus the myth that Kirsty has a version of the song.

why are there are Scottish dancers dancing to an Irish song??
@raed3240 Жыл бұрын
There are some traditional highland dances that are called Irish. I think as long as the music has the right beat you can adapt different celtic dances vice versa. They're doing modern interpretations of scottish dance too..

@annemariearchibald.....not an irish sang. it's an auld scots/english childs skiprope sang from scotland/england borders.
