I've been out of the UTAU world for a minute and I come back to find things have become so advanced

It's not Utau though, it's Synthesizer V Studio Pro, think of it as what Vocaloid could have been if they cared more about the technology and not making money, it's a paid program (and voices too) which use AI to get a smoother rendering of the voice (all voice aren't compatible but most of them are now) and with AI a voice can sing in all the language supported by the program (which are actually English, Japanese and mandarin Chinese, I think Cantonese is coming soon too) they even added a rap feature (but voices need to be update to support it) All this can also come for free with the basic version of the program which doesn't include every feature and Lite voices are of a lower quality but still sound pretty good

@SlayerReduxUTAU NNSVS / Diff-SVC are utau compatible with plug-in its not native and you need to input a raw vocal of what you want the voice to sound like and it'll train on that, it takes a lot of times to get a good render with it

I am talking about Diffsinger not Diff SVC. Diffsinger and NNSVS are singing voice synthesis projects while Diff-SVC is a singing voice conversion project.

I find it funny that UTAU teto had a separate English voicebank and still couldn't sound as clear as the cross-lingual feature in SynthV's teto (cuz synthv teto only technically has a japanese vb and needs the cross-lingual to use english)

It's ai, they did say they only did a lazy plug and play. SynthV isn't like Vocaloid where you have to do a whole lot of tuning.
