Since no one has said it: Anju’s scar in her back says “Whore’s daughter”. The 86 from her previous squad did it to her because she is half-alba, hence Raiden points out that there are trash among the 86 as well during his speech.

@@nerasomnia Yeah, I just looked it up, apparently the non-alba ancestor is really distant, but not specified, which, honestly, makes this even worse, imagine being treated like garbage because one of your great-great-great grandparents were from a different hair color

What is on Anju’s back is proof that the 86 can be as cruel and evil as the Alba that they hate so much (as indicated by Raiden after they revealed the truth to Lena. As I said in an earlier episode, Anju is a mixed-blood Alba - not because of her hair (which is a hallmark of an accepted subrace of the Alba), but because of her blue eyes (which is of the Celesta people). However, some of the 86 saw her as close enough to an Alba and as a result abused the hell out of her, including carving “whore’s daughter” onto her back.

I don't know if someone has pointed this out already / if you have noticed it yourself, but at the end of the opening theme, in the shot with people standing in a field of flowers, the amount of people in it keep increasing every episode. It's all the dead people. Everytime someone dies, they add them in that shot in the opening theme, in the next episode. I thought that was pretty cool detail.

@@aidorygregan3849 The same reason Theo hated her. Her sitting in the safety behind her desk thinking she is actually doing something for the 86. It’s easy to say you liked her all the way through in retrospect but I thought she was an annoying goody two shoes up until she actually contributed to their effort and made sure to learn their names. Just goes to show good the writing is. I generalized and brused her off as being one of the oppressors but then she turned into a really likable character.
