I struggled with being overweight for 7 years. Being a little overweight at first was common. But I kept gaining weight, being about 50 pounds more than I apparently “should’ve” been. At the age of 11 I weighed 154 pounds. By then I skimmed it down. At 12 I weighed 144. At 13 I slammed my anxiety down and went to 135. I stopped. I didn’t want to originally lose weight for myself. I lost it so other people could stop looking at me in that weird way. Along the journey of my slimming, I found this really nice girl, of course pretty skinny and average, but she was so nice. We did hikes together, whenever I had to stop, she’d totally understand and stop with me to rest alongside. Whenever we had troubles, a FaceTime call fixed it, if it wasn’t a hangout in real life. I really wanted her to be my forever best friend. That was before I came out. I had came out as a bisexual female. Ever since, she always looks at me in disgust. “You know that’s a sin. Stop lying.” Or “You probably have a crush on me! You’re fucking sick!” She didn’t accept me, but that was fine, some people don’t understand. Right now I’m 17 and I have a beautiful, also bisexual, boyfriend I know I can trust, he knows what to do when I cry. He knows how to take care of me when I’m on my period, he knows how to cook. I can do the same just for him. And happiness takes time to find. It took me 3 years. I hope everyone finds theirs soon.
