Dearest Mac & Jack, You will not understand how special this video of sharing the good news to all of your family and friends are to me. I am so emotional , literally sobbing at the part where you and your Mom start crying at the end, and finding out the good news after this long, emotionally draining journey. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for almost 5 years, also through natural conception, two Laparoscopy procedures (as I have stage 4 endometriosis) IUI’s, IVF’s you name it we tried it. 😢 Sharing this video gives me a little bit of hope, as I am still dreaming about the day that I can surprise my family and friends with good news as you could. Magical. Your mom did great and is beautiful. Tell her no reason to be camera shy but I get it. The magic of sharing with your mama that you are pregnant is just a priceless moment in life. You guys have fun celebrating and prepping for new baby! Hope you are feeling well as you are further into the trenches now. Lol. This brings me such joy. My egg retrieval is Monday or Tuesday. After 7 losses ttc naturally, and 1 medicated cycle loss over 7 years we have decided to just jump to ivf. Seeing this positive, joyful, video gives me so much hope. Continuing to pray for a boring, long, healthy pregnancy.

Congratulations again, this was just such a beautiful celebration of new life video. I know how it feels to hope and long for a baby, to grieve as friends seemingly get pregnant at the drop of a hat and you are just in a world of pain, to be told time and time again you are not pregnant and then through a miracle beyond measure to find out you are pregnant. In that moment your whole world changes, the grief is washed away and replaced by abundant joy and mixed emotions of what is next, will I do it right, the desire to fiercely protect this little bean growing inside you with all your might. To those in their own fertility journeys, don’t give up, there is hope and medical miracles happen every day. And remember if you can’t, after trying all things possible, still get pregnant, you can always adopt a child in need, they may not grow in your body, but they will surely grow inside your heart. In fact, true story, my friend was having serious fertility issues and decided they just couldn’t go through any more intervention so they decided to adopt. Not long after they adopted a beautiful baby girl, they found out by some miracle they had fallen pregnant naturally. There is always hope and being a parent can take many forms. I am so happy for you both Mac Dingle, and my heart is full of good thoughts for more success for those in this group travelling their own fertility journey. After my first round of medication (I have PCOS) I went back to my gynaecologist to be told my numbers were so low they were almost negligible and to come back when I had my next cycle, four months on and this hadn’t happened (not unusual with PCOS) but I came down with an awful flu (so I thought), I was so sick I could barely get out of bed. I went to see my GP who found nothing physically wrong so just in case did a pregnancy test. It was positive and the ultrasound showed I was four months pregnant with a healthy baby. This happened two more times, all boys, then I had a miscarriage and we decided that was the cue that our family was done. Two years later I had all the familiar pregnancy feelings (no intervention) so did a home test..negative. In total I did 3 home tests over a few weeks and had two blood tests and everything was negative. My hormones were just so very low it was impossible to be pregnant. I was so disappointed as I had sore boobs etc but my DR said it was probably just my body’s response to my desire to be pregnant again but I had already settled on the three boys being our forever family. Anyway, one night I had the most hideous pain on my right side close to where your appendix are, but I had mine out. So I trudged up to the ED in case I had an enlarged cyst or something from my PCOS. As a routine measure they did a urine test but I told them they didn’t need to bother as I wasn’t pregnant. A few minutes later the Dr came in looking all concerned and said I was pregnant and they thought, because of the pain it was probably an ectopic pregnancy. An emergency ultrasound technician had been called and a surgical room put on hold pending the results of the ultrasound. So with great fear and trepidation I hop on the ultrasound table to be greeted after a few minutes with a hearty chuckle (I had not been watching for fear of what I might see), he said open your eyes and look..there on the screen was the most perfectly formed baby sitting comfortably in a frank breach position. The baby measured at 5 and a half months development, I had never felt a kick or anything. I was taken back to ED and almost all the nurses and doctors came at some point to look at the ultrasound and congratulate me. The pain was caused simply by her position in the womb where she stayed until born. She was born via a caesarean section at 34 weeks due to a loss of amniotic fluid (because of high blood pressure). If you do the maths from knowing I was pregnant to having her was a total of about 3 and a half months. She was one short pregnancy, and I’d put everything away from the boys so had to get ready very quickly as I had been told there was a chance they would take her early. I didn’t know the sex btw and when she was born refused to believe the Drs that she was a girl and made my husband go check lol. I named her Lillyannah Heather May, and she turns 15 in June this year. I was so very blessed.
