I think the only reason he gave this a go is because Trisha gave him all of this love (& sex...) & he felt pressured to give it a try. What I think is really going to break this is Trisha wanting too much out of Jason. He’s 44 with 2 kids. He’s tired & doesn’t want anymore. She made it clear she WANTS kids. A bit of analysis here... Go to 11:46, you can clearly see Trisha telling Carly that her and Jason are going to Las Vegas. A few seconds later, at 11:55, you can see Jason seems to be unsure of having a long-term commitment to the relationship, saying "we'll figure things out"... Trisha then chimes in that she missed what Jason said... notice here Carly's reaction as she senses a potentially awkward moment, so she clearly changes the subject (it's VERY obvious) by asking Trisha about Vegas, even though she clearly already knew about Vegas 10 seconds prior (see 11:46-11:50). At 12:02, you can also see the discomfort on Carly's face... the footage is then cut immediately... who knows what happened after that? Alex and David's jokes about their breakup may certainly have some truth in them...
