Telling San Diegans about free trash bins boosts support for trash pickup fees

For more than 100 years, San Diegans who live in single family homes haven’t had to pay for trash pickup. But a new poll suggests voters might be willing to change that - supporting a ballot measure that would change the so-called People’s Ordinance. And KPBS investigative reporter Claire Trageser says one thing especially appeals to voters.
