I find that, when writing a novel or story, I have several parts that I am interested in writing and then there are the 'deserts' between those parts that are the hardest to write and represent the grind that we have as writers.

Writing is feast or famine for me. There is no medium-pleasant musing away. I am either thrilled or frustrated.

What I find it hard is expressing the emotions in my head that my characters go through but cant put it to the right words without sounding bland or out of place.

This was so helpful! I really needed to hear what Carlo and Decan said, as I write 'free-write' style best, focussing on narrative voice, and was almost going to start revising my first 50 pages as I ( stupidly ) started to re-read them! ( In an 'Edit and Revise mode', not just re-read to refresh my memory! ) YES- go to then end! THankyou for saying this as I NEED to let stuff happen, and FIND OUT what happens, and let 'the voice' get easier, faster as I go along! Revising will be easier with a birds-eye view I believe!

I told myself I might as well start writing my novel. I told myself it wasn't gonna be perfect, it was most likely gonna be bad (I was gonna rewrite everything anyway), and most likely I wasn't gonna be able to fit all my research into the first draft. But I know enough of what I'm writing about to be able to write and not get get stuck. I've been working on it for almost a year now, and I'm having a great time writing it; so hopefully millions will have a great time reading it.

Hi I'm trying to create a software for writing from the first draft to the final one with ease and the software will help you put all your ideas organized without effort so that you can be more creative, and it will help a lot who do all the work himself like writing shooting and editing because you can do all that work in the same time and place, help you not just in pre-production but also in the production and post-production... but I don't know if there is a big market for this type of software or not... what you think? Thank you for the video ;)

Wow stop adverting like you really dont know your doing it, its insulting. You name the place saying check it on google and not many people are talking about it at all, obviously your friend would help you out, so spamming like we are all stupid is a bit silly.

the worst is trying to find a literary language. My first drafts are terrible, they are so plain and don't sound like real books. The internet doesn't teach us how to create metaphors, etc...The tips are always the same, plain, lame, boring, useless
@3damnthis6 жыл бұрын
Luís Dias it comes with reading and playing with language. I find that writing poetry helps in crafting metaphors. Another thing you can try is narrating something you see in your everyday life to yourself. You will notice things you normally wouldn’t, and can pull references from memory when you are writing. Does that make sense?
