So what "exclusive" thing has she got to offer any potential husband, that she hasn't already given "for free" to another, without requiring marriage? You get one shot at virginal courtship from potential suitors, but once you've cashed that in, you no longer possess any more leverage in that department. Born again abstinence doesn't "up" your value in the eyes of many men, it merely makes them think you're trying to offer used goods up as "brand new." Another, equally devout religious man may buy into it....but it's likely the remaining majority won't, and they will have very sound reasons not to, and this will in no way mean that they're being shallow or disrespectful....merely they're not prepared to pay a much, much higher price for something that another (or others) were obviously (once) gifted so freely.
