Legendary horsewoman, Linda Tellington-Jones chats about her life with animals and horse with her niece, Mandy Pretty in this vlog series.
Each episode discusses a different phase of Linda's life and career, spanning over eight decades, taking her all around the globe, promoting the concept of inter-species connections and gentle, non-confrontational animal training methods well before they were considered possible.
In Episode 4, Linda describes the incredible school she and then husband, Wentworth Tellington, ran in the 1960's in California. The Pacific Coast Equestrian Research Farm was a residential riding instructors school that attracted students from all over the world. Students learned a variety of disciplines from a classical, military equestrian background along with groundbreaking research on equine health, nutrition and training.
Former student, Shannon Weil, has written a wonderful account of the school in her book, "Strike a Long Trot", available here: ttouch.com/Det...
