Fun fact about Frank. The original actors to play him, Boris Karloff played one of the doctors that revived him in the sequels. He’s the one that drowns with the monster in quick sand. He also played the original imothep mummy and was the voice of the Grinch in the 1960s cartoon
@TellItAnimated9 ай бұрын
Yup! That's why I included Boris's character in the quicksand scene, it's just such a cool scene to see the man who played Frankenstein and the character going down in the mud together. Glenn Strange was a great monster as well, and arguably his appearance was almost as iconic as Boris's take on the character. When Boris passed away pictures of Glenn Strange as the monster were used by mistake in newspapers.
@warrenrhinerson63739 ай бұрын
@@TellItAnimated yeah I always found that last detail a little bit humorous. But also something interesting is when Lugosi took over the role the Frankenstein monster the original plan was to have him speak, but it was cut out of the film because I thought it sounded too ridiculous. Ironic because Lugosi did the voice when Igor’s brain was put into the monsters body.
@TellItAnimated9 ай бұрын

Couple of Fun Facts relating to Frankenstein: Boris Karloff who played the monster in the original movies also voiced The Grinch in original 1966 TV Special Due to legal issues with Universal and Sony in which the monsters in Hotel Transylvania couldn’t look like Universals Monsters they couldn’t give Frankenstein his signature neck bolts Frankenstein was used as a piece of inspiration for Friday The 13th Part 6: Jason Lives, such as when Tommy Jarvis resurrected Jason with a lighting rod and the general store Tommy goes to when he calls the police after what just happened the store is called “Karloff’s General Store” a clear reference to Boris Karloff It was only in the movie version the monster was brought to life with electricity while in the book it’s pretty vague of how it was brought to life Boris Karloff not only played Frankensteins Monster but also played Dracula

3:21 *The movie suffered from some deleted scenes before its release, mainly involving the dialogues of the Frankenstein Monster, portrayed by Bela Lugosi.* *Originally, the Frankenstein Monster was supposed to speak in the film, as it did in the previous movie, "The Ghost of Frankenstein." The intention was also to showcase the vision and personality of Ygor's brain, Dr. Frankenstein's assistant, which was transplanted into him. However, producers thought the audience wouldn't accept the idea, and Lugosi's lines were deemed difficult to understand due to his accent. Additionally, they wanted the Monster to be more frightening and less human. As a result, they cut all scenes where the Monster spoke and altered some to depict him as blind and confused.* *These changes left the film with some inconsistencies and continuity issues, such as the Monster moving its eyes and reacting to light despite being blind. The reason for the Monster obeying Larry Talbot, who had Ygor's voice, remained unexplained. The deleted scenes were lost for many years, only recently recovered by fans with access to the original script and Universal's archives. They recreated the scenes using available audio and images, sharing them on the internet.*

Keep in mind, Frankenstein was the scientist, NOT the monster.

Keep in mind, the scientist is the monster's father, so the monster is a Frankenstein as well

Here's an idea for a future "The Evolution of - Animated": The Great White Sharks from the *"JAWS"* franchise (1975-1987) and it should also include their book counterparts from the Peter Benchley novel and the two novelizations by Hank Searls. *"JAWS"* (1975) (Film): 25 feet long, three tons (Original Novel): 20 feet long, roughly 5,000 lbs - *"JAWS 2"* (1978) (Film): 28 feet long (According to the Production Notes featured on the 2001 DVD release) (Novelization): 30 feet long, nearly two tons (Also, it's described to be a pregnant female and the mate of the shark from the first novel.) - *"JAWS 3-D"* (1983) (Mother): 35 feet long (Baby): 10 feet long - *"JAWS: The Revenge"* (1987) (Film): 25 feet long, two tons (According to narration from the 1987 "Making of" documentary) (Novelization): 28 feet long, 3,000 lbs (He is described to be the son of the female shark from the *"JAWS 2"* novelization.)
