Did you end up keeping the tello phone line? And also have you tried calling different countries with it (how was the quality?) You mentioned tello can also run off AT&T towers-was the phone cut from service this past Thursday (the cell phone issue nationwide disaster)?

Metro has the BYOD $25 plan the includes real unlimited data. The first 35gb is prioritized and after that the data is subjected to deprioritization but often still just as fast.

If you are on a budget Tello Mobile is great Texting is Global and Calling 60 countries included with the plan every other countries you have to add funds to your account. The unlimited plan is $25 a month 35GB of data and then 2G data speeds after that

Its one of the most feature rich and I've ever experienced and the customization is unmatched. I agree with your facts with 1 exception.... 2g speeds on the unlimited plan after 35 is super slow

If you do have to get more data for the month, paying $50 dollars for 70 gb of data is still a pretty good deal. I'm glad I switched to Tello Mobile.

I'm a Tello customer since last summer. I got the $5 plan and use it as a second line. Though it's been use as a primary line lately. I don't have an issue with it. Use it to make quick calls and give out the number in the open. My other line is Visible. So, I'm glad I pay little over $30 for two lines.

I agree it's a good and inexpensive option! I was only going to test it but it worked so well I kept it!

@evertonsway Indeed. I got my sister to get Tello for her son's tablet with the $10 5GB plan - gives more than T-Mobile Prepaid $10 data plan. As well, a friend too for her sons' tablets. It shocks me to hear people pay over $50-60/month these days on a single line and over $100 for multiple lines. Before switching to Visible, I had T-Mobile prepaid, and I hated paying $50(plus taxes & fees) per month. That was for 2 years between 2019 and 2021 and the most expensive I paid for.

Im a Tello customer for about a year and a half - they are great - I can pick and choose what I will need for the coming month. If I know I’ll be traveling away from the house and my WiFi - I can go for all in unlimited for only 25 but if I’m not going to be away from WiFi I can change to a plan ranging about 8-12 dollars. The WiFi calling is great and I’d really recommend if you live international and the USA. I can use WiFi calling and with international plan when at my house in Colombia I’ve a USA phone with free international calls and USA calls and with option to not use data I’ve calls and active phone in the USA for 8 bucks. And if you have a phone that allows two sims - I get data from my Colombian carrier and still have service with my Tello account. I am so happy I switched from T-Mobile - same service so much cheaper

Similar to US Mobile as far as the plan options but US Mobile gives you option to use Vz or Tmobile. You didn't mention the communication with tello.

Not with every plan. If you tier up high enough around $19/month, the SIM card is free. They’ll charge about $2 for the lower costing plans

I'm looking to choose between Mint, Tello & US Mobile, which one would you suggest? I only really need max 5GB of mobile data since I WFH and I'm on wifi almost all the time and I text more than call. I don't stream at all on the go, maybe some youtube videos once in a while, but no streaming services like Netflix. Thanks
@evertonsway5 ай бұрын
Tello is a great option, bc of their ability to restart a billing cycle immediately if you use all of your data, for your needs if you need 5gb of data it's very affordable at $14/month, undercutting mint by $1 😂 and you won't have to pay 3 months at a time. Same speeds as Mint, but the only thing to watch out for is if you run out of data, it doesn't slow down....it STOPS. So you will have to re-up whereas Mint and US Mobile just slow you down
@adrianob.9655 ай бұрын
@@evertonsway Fair enough, currently it seems I average between 2-3GB or mobile data a month since I'm always on wifi so not worried about that, but good to know I can re-up anytime I want technically. I have Verizon now, but reception isn't great in my area, so also curious to see how the T-Mobile network works in my area. Appreciate the reply!

is there any hidden charges if u cancel the plan? and also is it easy to cancel it after a month of using it
@evertonsway5 ай бұрын
Hey, there’s no hidden charges to cancel, but you do pay for the entire month, so if you don’t want it mid month there is not ability to get a prorated amount back. Also porting out is easy you can do it through the online dashboard which cancels the plan.
