I'd say this is the better tv, the sound isn't as good but the picture is better, you can connect a dvd via hdmi or a scart to hdmi converter, coax connection is just the standard socket no lead included

Mine has horrible light bleeding, like the darks are much much worse than a mediocre 10 year old Samsung I had. I wasnt expecting a VA panel to be so bright. I tried everything on settings, it is hardware problem. I'm debating whether I got a bad item and sent it back

@@Veganarchy-Zetetic Why you say is garbage? if you have bright images it is really nice and the colors are great, the problem is that darks are really bad but I got used to it, feels like it isn't VA panel.

@@dimm7448 Because they are the worst black levels I have ever seen, for them to be anywhere near black I have to turn the backlight to 0 then you can hardly see the picture at all. Even at the brightest setting it's really not that bright. My 10-15 year old cheaper TV's including by Samsung are far brighter and with better black levels. The menu is so slow and buggy that most of the time I can't actually use it until I restart the TV. I just think it's an overpriced bottom of the line LCD display posing as something better than it is.
