i permanently damaged my left ear back in winter 1999-2000 after listening to Wolf's lair abyss and Mercyful Fate 9 COUNTLESS times on my cheap aiwa walkman that had an insanely high volume output. Probably some other albums helped a wee bit. Despite the few blasphemer-isms, its a super direct song as you said and i believe this is where its true greatness is. Directness. it is the perfect preparation and guide to Symbols of bloodswords where everything gets destroyed and this masterpiece is sadly over. Your playthrough has a more chaotic and less sterile feeling to my ears than the original. Keep uploading good stuff for us all Teloch !

Later on, post release, he denied this like the rat he is. Mayhem is my all time favourite band and I will leave it at that, don’t want to launch a personal attack. A lie is a lie is a lie, lying is cowardice. These are Oystein’s riffs. I highly dislike the idea of claiming ownership of other people’s ideas and of rewriting history when the dead have no voice. I find that weak.

Huh, I had never heard any of that before. Are there any other Wolf's Lair Abyss songs that are thought to be by Euronymous? I thought the opening riff to Ye Entrancemperium by Emperor was supposedly the last of what Euronymous did that was known. Mayhem is definitely one of my favs too, especially DMDS and Ordo. I actually got to see them play DMDS live in its entirety a few years back. Pretty awesome experience.

why do you have your pickup so low? i have EMG 81 too and dont like that sound on my Schecter soo much. before Schecter omen 6 i got Kramer striker and i swap pickup to EMG and it was beast. maybye i try to put lower my EMG pickup now..(my sound seems to be so distorded, i search clarity )
