Hey, If The Immaculate Conception is false as Most Eastern "Orthodox" claim then why is The Blessed Virgin Saint Mary referred to as The New Ark of The Covenant, who is comparable to The Old Ark?

If God’s choice to create the world is truly free and he could have done otherwise (not create the world), does this not introduce contingency, composition and potency into God? It introduces contingency as his willing for the world to exist is not a necessary fact (it did not have to happen), composition as God’s willing one thing over another would be a kind of part, as it does not have to be unified with his nature and yet is, and potency as there are multiple potential things God could will and he actualises one of them, which would be an actualisation of his own will in a sense.

I believe Trey has mentioned before the idea of two tiers of actualization. Actualization in God is His ability to create and Him having the blueprints of the logoi eternally actualized in His mind in an even more real sense than they are in the material world. The actualization in the world does not affect God’s attributes because He is immaterial and the ideas are already fully actualized in the divine mind anyway. Good analogy is if I have a blueprint of my house with all the information of measurements, material used, year, etc. it is more real than the actual house in a sense because it can be multiplied in exactness. Whereas, me standing in the house does not necessitate my knowledge about the house which is greater than my own personal knowledge since I am not an electrician, plumber, or builder in any sense. Plus the house has dings and imperfections in it that are not aligned perfectly with the blueprint any longer (analogous to the effects of the fall on creation).

Your speaking of a nature actualizing is foreign to me, I get what you’re saying but wouldn’t we say energy is intrinsic to a nature, but distinct from the essence? E.g. the person actualizes, not the nature, though God in His nature naturally has energy?

The Son has a beginning, the Father does not. The Son has a God, the Father does not. The Son dies, the Father cannot. The Son is sent, the Father sends. The Son does the will of the Father, the Father does His own will and determines every other will. The Son is perfectly happy being Numero Dos in His Father's universe. In all his salutations in all his epistles Paul never mentions the Holy Spirit. Gee Paul, how disrespectful. The one time he does mention the holy spirit at the end of 2nd Corinthians it's merely the COMMUNION of the holy spirit. Luke 1:35 provides a definition of the Holy Spirit: the power of the MOST High. God is not impotent as to impregnating Mary and doesn't need to assistance of some so-called third person. Jesus does not have two Fathers. Your spirit is not a distinct nor separate person. The obsession with the trinity. Freud would have a field day. Theologians and man's theologies are just not needed. His word and commentaries in scriptural terms are all that is needed.

1 Corinthians 12:3. I thought it wasn't until the second one. Two natures, One person all of this is your interpretation of scripture but we should only look at scripture I thought! No text exists without interpretation.
